Hello Loka community, today I will appeal my ban of doxxing, I know to many of you it may seem very early to appeal a ban like this however I would like to explain what led to my ban:
History of the image:
I'm not sure exactly who created the image however an AI image of a player within our friend group had circulated for a couple months before I first saw it, when I first saw the image due to its nature of being AI and me seeing it being used before I thought it was just a funny joke gif, I posted it as a joke to one of my friends at the time however the AI image turned out to be a member of our group who then reported me and got me banned as he thought I sent it with harmful intent however I didn't even know it was a doxx but however now knowing the full context of the image I have a deep regret of posting it. What I have done after my ban:
After I was banned the person who it was reached out to me and I spoke to them and explained how I did not know it was a doxx and not that it was them and he understood and ending up finding the original creator of the image, the person who it was has forgiven me due to me not knowing and wishes for me to be unbanned on Loka. Since I have been banned I have missed Loka very much as I would often play after school with my friends and since my ban I haven't been able to have the same kind of fun I had on loka. I would like to note the gif I sent could have seemed to have racist undertones, which raddus stated when the person who it was asked Raddus to unban me in DMs. I had no harmful intentions when sending the image I just thought it was funny at the time, which was extremely immature of me and in the future I need to think more carefully about what I post online.
What I will do to prevent this again in the future:
In the future I will be more careful to post GIFs especially one with AI nature as you don't always know the whole story behind them and how the nature of the image may have been manipulated which ultimately can cause harm to people, I do regret posting the gif and have extensively apologised to the person who it was but I must also acknowledge I didn't know it was a doxx and was just a funny AI image.
My Previous Bans/ warnings:
Before this ban on Loka I have only ever had one ban which was for mouse tweaks just a few days after I joined loka, this was a complete mistake on my part as I should have read the rules before joining the server, the reason I had them on because I used to use them on stoneworks however still there is no excuse. However I had also had a warning before on loka, which I believe was around two months before my ban for saying the soft n-word in alliance chat, once again this is completely unacceptable and immature, it's something I regret doing and I am sorry for anyone that may of been affected by that but I truly didn't mean any actual racial harm when I said it.
Conclusion:
While I know my chances of being unbanned are very low I want the staff and the community to know that what I did was not meant to be malicious and was simply a mistake on my part and that I am sorry for posting the GIF and not knowing the history behind it, thank you for reading.
