What you think is expected of this rank:
I believe Sentries are an important community guide, role model, and Peacekeeper. A Sentry should always strive to help keep the community clean, informed, and friendly for any and all people. They are here to assist the Guardians and Elders in ensuring Loka is the server that we’ve all come to love.

Why you think you should become this rank:
I believe that I should be Sentry for a few different reasons.
  1. I have dedicated myself to behaving in the calm, mature, and respectful manner that I believe all Sentries should exemplify. I believe that any and everybody on Loka should be treated fairly and with the proper respect, regardless of their opinions. After all, we’re all human, and should be treated like such.
  2. I do my absolute hardest to be welcoming to, answer any questions from, or provide any help that new players require (Older players too, if they need help or clarification). When unable to provide adequate response or assistance, I always do my best to refer them to an admin or other authority if needed.
  3. .I’m an active player, who tries his best to be part of this community, and have been doing so for over a year. I frequent the discord, and forums, reading them multiple times a day (even if I don’t post as much on the forums).
At its core, I want to be Sentry because I believe I’m definitely qualified. But also, perhaps just as importantly, I want to help. As cliché as it may sound, in my time here I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Loka. For as salty, silly, cool, and out there you guys can be, you’re an amazing group of people. If I can do anything to help make Loka a better place for all of you, and so more people can find themselves in my position, I want to do it.

How often do you play (hours a day/week): I try my best to play at least an hour to two hours a day. As of late these hours have been much higher, but it’s not necessarily my norm.

In short, yes. +1

In long, what a guy. This is the most qualified player for a sentry position in the lineup. I've put just a few reasons why in a convenient bulleted list for your viewing pleasure.
  • This guy doesn't get into conflict. I can't think of one player on the server who has any beef with him.
  • His activity is enough for guardian.
  • He is consistently helpful with new players in town and answers questions for public chat, particularly with the players just out of intro.
  • He's well versed in town and conquest mechanics, having run Cornerstone and Dong Dank.
  • He's a builder, not relevant but always helps!
  • He has pondered the idea of contributing more to the server via a PvE development position. While the time required weekly was more than what he could consistently apply, his interest in the field is still there and taking that leap into an official "staff" position opens doors into further contribution within that area.
Not to mention, Pac has shown exceptional prowess as a mediator between, first, the Elders / Garaman players during the string of CryptPieMan talks held sometime early this year. And second, between two factions within TGF as they stood on the edge of separation over a huge debate in foreign policy more recently. This guy wrote an entire constitution himself to provide us Garamans a fair government structure as nobody else could position themselves so well on the middle ground. I think this skill would come into tremendous use during his time as a Sentry.

This guy doesn't just follow the rules, he embodies the rules. There is no off switch. When he's off duty, hanging out on discord, he's never disrespectful, doesn't curse, doesn't bad mouth and stands up for his fellow human beings, regardless of their town of origin. This alone puts him leaps and bounds over the bar for current sentries and guardians.

In conclusion, this is the guy to pick. Thanks for reading, +1. -M
 
The one guy I trust to always be fair to both sides in debates and give his opinion honestly while also making an effort to see the other side's point from how they see it to understand it better. Clear minded and an overall fun guy to be around even if his "side" activities are interesting to say the least.
 
I think it’s safe to say I’m a good friend of Pac and know a fair deal about him. I know for a fact that Pac’s discipline is phenomenal. He has proven multiple times that he is unbiased and willing to make sure his actions are the right ones, else making sure to learn from his mistakes which I have seen him do on the one occasion he made a mistake. Not only is he incredibly mature, he handles situations in a manner which many people should look up to. Pac certainly deserves becoming a Sentry because, frankly, he’s a role model and exactly what a Sentry should be, if not better.

In all honesty, Pac is one of my favourite players on Loka. He is exceedingly friendly, fair, and helpful. As Time noted, he also acts noticeably well-disciplined - an amazing attribute for any Sentry applicant. I'm really happy that you have applied, and look forward to seeing you perform your duties. Mmmmm Pac, known him since I first joined TGF. Pac is a great person, super active, he is more than keen to enforce rules and he possesses great judgement. In addition to this, he is a very kind person and thus he has earnt my pastry vote.

Definitely a +1 from me. Pac is friendly, helpful, and mature. He’s also just a great guy to be around.
 
In a recent issue that occurred between the Elysian Pact and The Garaman Federation, I had an opportunity to talk to Pac about what had happened and answer some of his questions. In that conversation he explained how he approaches any difficult situation. He strives to figure out the truth in what happened and make a "level-headed judgement." Simply put, I think a lot of us can see this through his general character. If this is how he handles leading an alliance, then it seems clear to me that this is the kind of guy with the right kind of skills to fill the role of Sentry. I have every faith that those skills will transfer entirely. +1
