Piruletaas for Slicer

I love the weaponization of mutes and bans.
I understand this argument but I just want to inform some of you what "weaponization of mutes and bans'' entails. Now the argument being made is that he shouldn't get slicer because he uses information at convenient times to get people punished. I personally do not think that Piruletaas is doing that because the counter argument could be that he has not reported whatever information he has because it's not enough to get the player punished and the player continues to break the rules so he waits and gathers more information. You can argue both of those points and it's pointless trying to prove either one of them in my opinion because at the end of the day regardless of the circumstances he is reporting these players in, THEY STILL BROKE THE RULES. I think some of you are forgetting the only power Piruletaas has is to report, staff is the executioner.

TLDR

Weaponization of bans and mutes > players who broke the rules going unnoticed

"Weaponization of reports" is a better term

This is an important point to make.

The main instance of this with Piruletaas you are referring to was reverted because it did not meet our criteria for reports of bullying/harassment. We receive many such reports every month that no one hears about, this one was blown up because it was handled prematurely by staff(read: myself, we all have learning moments in new positions). I understand people being upset when they feel someone isn't "legitimately" offended or upset by what the player they're reporting is saying, but the fact is, it's most of the time still heinous or terribly offensive content that wouldn't be acceptable anywhere outside of your discord or, apparently, your alliance chat. Honestly the fact that you keep these people in your alliance or town despite their inability to conduct themselves in a way that would be considered even remotely civil, simply because they click good, or, more worryingly, because you find them funny or agree with what they say, says more about you than it does about him for reporting it.

Whether the rest of his behavior is good, or unbecoming of a slicer is up for debate, but I don't believe the reports many seem to be complaining about on this thread are disqualifying.
