I'm just kind of wondering why town chat is allowed but alliance chat is not when you're muted on the server. I feel like alliance chat is more important if anything and you should be able to use that.

Most likely because a town can accept a person into there town and know about the prior issues theyve had, compared to an alliance where they cant necessarily do that

If that were our policy, mutes would be meaningless. If you are muted, then it should not be up to the individual player to /ignore, that disregards the entire point of the mute.
