While I myself am an abuser/user of this gameplay, ranked is VERY clearly harmed by the way the bow is used. To be clear, I can see why people may want the bow in the kit, as it gives people a chance to make a recovery if they are out of health pots or buffs, or if your opponent is running and trying to buff drain, you can punish them for it, but it is actually very counterintuitive with the bow being used to get people away and buff drain more often than it is used to punish people who are buff draining.
HOWEVER, playing ranked should not turn me into King Von, blicking down my opps on O block.
Not only does it impact the active player base, with them not enjoying the ranked experience and giving them less to do while not doing anything important, but the impact is actually greater on the "Ranked" player base, being people who only really play loka for ranked if the general experience is too complicated for them.
How is this bad? Anyone who actually asks this is probably as benefited by the bow as myself, but this kind of gameplay obviously defeats the purpose of a diamond pot server like loka is. When end game fights come down to a bow 1v1, it can really be irritating for people who want to have the diamond pot experience, which is what they came to loka to play. For one, the bow has Punch 2, which means if you can aim the bow decently, no one can even get close to you. Considering that the server is literally a diamond pot server, most people who play aren't exactly super experienced bow users, as opposed to someone who mained UHC or Axe pvp (like myself). It also means, if you use the bow while even slightly up on your opponent, it becomes nearly impossible for them to get enough hits to really profit off of it, or even get an agro on you, which can be essential for making comebacks. It is further worsened by the fact that you can literally pick up both yours and your enemies arrows, meaning that if everything goes right, you can shoot them FOURTY EIGHT TIMES. And for the owners, it means less players on their server which obviously no one wants.
The solution? Remove punch and decrease the arrow count. This solves the issue of people running away and bowing. It also means if your opponent is running away, you can still shoot them for just as much damage, and punish them for it. Decreasing the arrow count means that if you run away to eat/rebuff, you won't have to do cartwheels across the map to try and evade a barrage of arrows from a D1 archer. It also solves the issue of being able to shoot someone with a floppy arrow (a low charged bow arrow) that will launch them like 7 blocks away from you.
Examples if you haven't played much ranked yourself: example 1, example 2
If there is a plan to change it, please do it next season so I can get gladiator this season ^-^
