100 percent should be i dont see why it wouldnt be, just see who the player beat and how much elo was lost

i like the idea but lets say your like dia 1 lost alot of cheaters in ranked and drop to like em 1 and the next day you get back to dia 1 would the elo refunded boost you all the way up i think the idea is good but they're would have to be a way to do it without heavily inflating the ranks.

A fourms like this has been made before and the consensus was no but I still agree something should be done, I'd say though that maybe it should be 1/2 of the elo just to ensure ranks are inflated a ton?

But I also see how this is just more works for Guardians etc.

refunding elo after a cheater gets banned isn't really possible in most cases
basically what happens is you lose your elo to a cheater, then u usually keep playing and re-gain the elo back to where you belong. So lets say then the cheater gets banned, and you get a sudden elo boost and get like 3 rankups for that, going from your real rank to a boosted one.
So the only case where a refund would make sense is, when you dont play a single game after facing a cheater, then he gets banned and then u can get a refund. But I dont think its realistic, and admins would have to sink in tons of...

if the ranks are deflated because of cheaters, then i wouldnt really consider it rank inflation. If you're going down to Em 1 because of cheaters, it doesnt make sense to not give you all the elo you lost because you lost to a cheater.

when you queue the same 250ms cheater 4 times in a row and get demoted to like em 1 the inflation wouldnt mean anything bc u would have been at em 3 before that anyway

You queue after they log off back to em 3, then you get an elo refund and get boosted to diamond.

maybe make it small then depending on how far u dropped or where u currently are
