Below, you can find the results for the Ranked Choice Voting Algorithm, which determines winners through multiple rounds in which candidates either win or are eliminated as votes are transferred based on how voters ranked the candidates. In each round, if a candidate surpasses the required winning threshold, they win. If no one meets the threshold, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated. When a candidate wins or is eliminated, the votes of those who selected them are redistributed to their next preferred choices. This process continues until all candidates have either won or been eliminated. Exhausted ballots occur when all of a voter’s ranked choices have been used and there are no remaining candidates to transfer their vote to. To avoid exhausting your ballot in future ranked choice elections, be sure to rank as many candidates as possible in order of preference. It does not hurt your top choices to do this!
