Alrighty, I know I just stepped down from sentry like two months ago, but I can explain why. Since I was inactive, I didn't pay attention to the new features, and when I did manage to log on, I couldn't help people because I didn't know what was going on myself. And, of course, the inactivity itself. If I had known I would be active two weeks later, I wouldn't have stepped down. Oh well, that's how life works, isn't it?
Despite the fact there are quite a few awesome people applying for sentry this round, I'd like to add my application to the pile.
Age:
15
Current rank:
Slicer
Which rank I am applying for:
Sentry
What I think is expected of this rank:
Sentries are primarily expected to monitor chat. They keep it clean, not annoying, and a pleasant place to chat with fellow Lokans. Some go above and beyond, trying to make chat more active and getting people to interact with each other.
Sentries also should keep an eye on people's X-ray rates and report any... colorful... RX's to higher admins so they can keep at eye on them. Along with this, they should support and help Guardians in any way they can.
Another important job of the Lokan Sentry to assist new players or anyone with questions about the server. This includes welcoming new players to Loka, showing them around, and giving them an idea of how the server works.
And of course, they must be active, on the server, forums, and discord. They should also be friendly, and a good representative of Loka.
Why I think I should become this rank:
I was a Sentry for two years prior to stepping down. I know how to interact with people, how to use the commands, and, well, generally how to be a sentry. I love to help people, and I really want others to see how amazing Loka is. To do that, I would like to help out with everything I said above in what sentries should do.
When you started playing on the server: March 28th, 2013, or three and a quarter years.
Time zone:
I am currently on CTS. (-6). In about a year, I'll be in PST. (-8).
How often do you play: Probably too often. I'd say anywhere from 3-10 hours a day. Which means I play around 60 hours a week.
Whenever I'm near my phone, I'm accessible on Discord, and I check the forums several times a day. I can almost always be reached.
Thank you for your time!
