Something Found

I traveled the void, something calling to me. I was pulled, even dragged to a location. Some force wanted me to find this, and so I glided through the void.

I flew through endless nothingness, yet all I knew was a direction to travel and so I went. Hours, maybe even days passed as I
traveled, I began to lose consciousness, the goal nowhere in sight. My eyes began to dull, lower, I could barely keep them open before *THUD*. I hit a solid black wall. I immediately awoke, finding a strange columned place out in the middle of nothingness.

All that stood before me was a platform with three portals. What I found within was all too familiar. I must find a way to inform or show the Lokans, they would wish to see what I have.

The question is really duck. has the Artifact ever been on our side? I mena really it has imprisoned us all here on Loka since the begining. Its a very powerful intelegent being that we have no knowledge on just sits utop of spawn the entire lifespan of us ever thinking. Is it observing us? Its it some form of way to keep interplanetary criminals Locked away on a planet? We have absolutely no idea. we have no idea on its intentions we just know if we touch it it attacks us and pushes us back with a power blast accompanyed with embers of fire which burns our hands. for all we know we may be part of some test that the Artifact is doing ever watching us and gathering info to avast in some large storage device. We just do not know. So with the abductions of Slicers it could be helping us taking them away to magical wonderland of kittens and cotten candy. Or its disecting us inside the heart of the mothership that it sends date to or even so the heart of the Artifact itself. That choice is up to you.

Interesting view on the Artifact indeed, very deep, also a tad pessimistic. I think it's an ancient relic from days old created by these gods that only few understand. It was sent down to protect us, the boundaries that keep us in Loka away from a much crueler world or something out that will massacre us all.

The Artifact prevents anyone on it's world from dying, period.

Imagine that you're Asymptonic, a Slicer suddenly unable to Slice off of the world you've just arrived on. You're trapped, and as time goes on, you and your research team begin to panic and try to puzzle out the source of the problem. All they know is that there's a bizarre object floating atop one of the Three Sisters. Time goes on. A lot of time. Now the rest of your team is gone; over the years they all wandered off in search of some kind of escape. By now you know the awful truth: you can't die. There is no escape, let alone a way to return home. You have been cut off from the escape of death. And now, alone, you wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. You wait so long you go insane, regain your sanity, go insane again, regain your sanity, and on and on it goes for eons beyond count. You forget who you are, where you came from, remember it, and then forget it all again. You can't leave the three sisters, not now, not after you've known nothing else for so long. You etch gibberish into the stone walls of the mountains, then complex messages and theorems, then gibberish again. Time becomes a blur, faster and faster and faster until you've utterly forgotten yourself and become a shell, a walking nightmare filled with the monotony of a thousand thousand lifetimes.

That is the Artifact's curse. That is why, as so many of us have said, this is hell.
