What you think is expected of this rank:
Sentries should be the players that rise above the typical players and Slicers. These fearless mall cops are those that take care of the smaller issues that rise up in the day-to-day of the server. They are involved in the community in a variety of ways, these ways being:
  1. On the server: interacting with the other players, answering any questions that players might have, attempting to resolve any conflicts that may be had within chat, and enforcing the server rules
  2. On discord: just about the same responsibilities as on the server
  3. On the forums: keeping up to date with what is posted in the forums, by responding to posts in well-mannered and helpful ways, enforcing the same chat rules that the server and discord have
While I believe these are the more direct expectations, I do also believe that there is another point that should also be included (even if it may seem obvious).
  • Bias- I believe that Sentries should be as unbiased as they can possibly be. Whether it is concerning player mutes, bans, and helping other players, Sentries should treat all players on equal ground, regardless of Conquest alignments, who your friends are, raids that may have occurred, etc.
Why you think you should become this rank: I sincerely believe that all of the aforementioned qualities make up a good Sentry, and I also believe that I possess all of these qualities. I do my best to help out both new and current players when I have the ability to do so. I try to remain as collected and unbiased as I can be in regards to that aspect. I have spent a good chunk of my time on the server sitting in spawn reading chat, helping players, and talking in a discord vc, interacting with other Loka players in one way or another. I also do the same thing with the forums and the Loka discord, where I always have them open so that I can keep up with what is being discussed and interject if need be.

Time zone: PST

How often do you play: Depends on my work schedule. I try to be online for at least an hour and a half everyday, no matter my schedule. When I don’t work however, I am usually on for 5-6 hours/day
 
llama is great. She is always very helpful and seems to be on a lot during the night hours. She is always super friendly to others, and I haven't seen her be mean or rude to anyone, therefore, sets an amazing example for the server. +1
 
Over the past few years (has it been that long already?), I believe I have come to understand special_llama fairly well.

She is easily a no-nonsense advocate for ensuring chat rules are followed. Indeed I have no trouble imagining her to be one of the most effective Sentries that Loka can have. Her character is largely what reinforces this, I believe as she wastes no time in shutting down any toxicity or immaturity, because they are not at all a part of who she is. This, of course, translates to a helpful and friendly nature that I have witnessed daily whether in public, local, or intro chat, or even as far back as the time spent in Valinor (and of course dating back even before then). I think this certainly makes her well qualified for this position.
 
Absolutely no question about this application. I've known Llama nearly a year - coming up to 11 months soon. Ever since I've known her she's been kind, considerate, supportive, helpful, and any other positive adjective of the kind. She's also active, and has a firm understanding of both the server and it's rules.

Llama is a fairly old player of loka, she's kind and involved with the community, welcomes new players and helps them out and she's a responsible player and knows the rules well, +1
 
Llama is basically what you would refer to as "the best". She's (or he) got exactly whats needed to be a sentry and more!!!!!!!!!!! Promote now to get 2 special_llamas for the price of 1!!!!!!!!!!
