After much reflection, careful thought, and absolutely no pressure from the suspiciously timed events unfolding around us, I have made the difficult and courageous decision to step down before I am dramatically removed like a background character in the season finale.
Recent events have made it clear that I no longer wish to represent a Slicer of this community.
The way the recent controversy was handled was disappointing, confusing, and honestly impressive in the worst way possible. What could have been handled with basic communication, fairness, and common sense somehow turned into a full community crisis arc. Instead of bringing people together or addressing things properly, the situation was mishandled to the point where it feels like the staff team has been completely overrun by panic, bad judgment, and whatever ancient curse causes the community to take slicer this seriously.
I know what is happening. I see the writing on the wall. Names are being whispered. Roles are being eyed. Somewhere, someone is hovering over a permissions menu with questionable intent. And before I am removed from the role like an inactive town member during a cleanup, I have decided to take control of my own destiny and step down first.
This is not me disappearing forever. This is not me rage-quitting the community, throwing my keyboard into a river, or beginning a villain arc. This is simply me saying that after watching how everything has unfolded, I do not feel comfortable continuing to represent the Slicer role.
A role like Slicer should mean trust, community, and respect. But when the people in charge fail to handle controversy properly, and when the staff team appears more focused on damage control than actually fixing the issues that caused the controversy in the first place, the role starts to lose its meaning. At that point, continuing to hold the title feels less like an honor and more like standing in the middle of a collapsing building while pretending the ceiling is not actively falling.
To my fellow Slicers, I bid you good luck in the coming days. What is coming cannot be dodged. May your roles remain intact, your names remain unmentioned, and your final moments be met with dignity.
So yes, I am stepping down.
Please do not worry too much during this difficult time. I will be taking some time away to focus on other things, heal from the emotional trauma of no longer being a prestigious block game community representative, and possibly rediscover peace outside of whatever this situation has become. I ask for privacy, respect, and at least three overly dramatic messages in chat pretending this is a real retirement announcement.
To the community, I appreciate the good times. To the people who supported me, thank you. To the staff team, I hope things improve because the community deserved better than the way this controversy was handled.
Please leave your comments, condolences, well wishes, fake tears, and “gone too soon” messages in the chat during this difficult transition. Also, make sure to vote in the poll so the people may have their voices heard in this historic moment.
The Slicer era may be ending for me, but my spirit will live on in every confused Discord argument, every questionable staff decision, and every person who says, “Wait, why did he step down again?”
Thank you all. I am officially stepping down before destiny makes the decision for me. Thank you to ChatGPT.
