Hello Loka Community,
I will first thank the staff team & the community for spending your time to read this lengthy appeal.
In this appeal, I will write my ban appeal with full honesty, and including everything every rules I've broken. I will start off with multiple sections about my ban, the alts + account sharing, then the apology & how I reflected.
Why I used VPN & How I was banned for VPN.
I believe everyone is familiar with Asians having bad routing towards the Loka host due to being so far away. Because of this, our ping would be significantly higher than what it should be. I then tried to utilize ExitLag to play Loka as it can lower my ping from an extremely unstable ~280ms to a stable 215ms.
However I was immediately blocked for suspicious activity which then I was unblocked after creating a ticket. And then I got my second suspicious activity block, from accidentally joining Loka with exitlag enabled. This happened cause I use ExitLag and have whitelist in basically every server I play in, fortunately I was unblocked again after creating another ticket. This would mark my second suspicious block.
Around one month before my VPN ban, I joined loka with Exitlag enabled again by accident, I tried to cancel the join before it was too late but I couldnt. But I wasn't blocked, I somehow connected the server with exitlag on. I didn't tell the staff team because I thought I somehow got whitelisted after begging for so long, plus I finally got what I needed the most to play loka. The day of the ban, I tried to switch the exitlag servers, and when I tried to join I was blocked and detected as an alt. I was then finally banned for being blocked too many times.
Why I didn't appeal the VPN ban?
After the block, I made a ticket for unblock. In the ticket, Magpie told me: "You broke the rules and deceived us after we gave you our trust. Perhaps you can appeal once we open an EU and/or Asia server". This made me lose hope into appealing, as it didn't seem realistic an EU/Asia loka would open in the future since it would cost a fortune and probably cause alot of technical issues.
It was definitely foolish of me to not appeal the ban, I saw how my friends was banned the same way and appealed it not long after. They were unbanned quickly and I definitely should have done the same.
The first two alts & bans
Around early May, I had taken the desperate measures and alted for the first time. I alted cause I missed the community and the server so much, however it wasn't successful. Before I alted, I told a player named 'daqniel' about what I was going to do. And he did exactly what he should have, which is to report the alt to the admins. I would like to apologize to daqniel about risking him into a potential assisting ban evasion ban. I do not despise him for what he did as it was definitely the right thing to do. In the end, I was never able to play with that alt.
Side Note: the account "xiaomu778" isn't banned in Loka for some reason + the account is lost to the new microsoft scam so please ban the account.
Unfortunately I did not reflect on the lesson daqniel gave to me, and I alted about 3 months later. I am unsure of the exact date or how long I played on the "timmyl_" account. I was caught quickly, ss'ed by the guardian at the time "LancerSquid" and received what I deserved.
The third alt & Ban
I don't know if people still don't know this but I am infact Ploedey when the account was actively playing for several months in Late 2024 - Early 2025. This alt lasted a very long time, infact I even thought I was never getting caught. This is because I managed to alt with VPN. I did this by approaching deanno (Langmao) and lie to him about my real identity, asked him to vouch for me to get vpn whitelist. It was successful
During this 6 months time, I had the most fun and met many people. However, I was still breaking the rules. I was finally screenshared by "Kxph" on the date of ban. I let him check my PC and he found my main account, aswell as another account sharing situation that I will talk about later on.
The Aftermath Of Ploedey Ban & About the account sharing
After the ss, multiple accounts were caught and banned. As far as I know, it was "deanno22", "Yuromic", and "Jeeyxn" that was banned after the screenshare. "deanno22" was banned for assisting ban evasion, "Jeeyxn" and "Yuromic" was banned for alt account. They are now all unbanned thankfully after appealing. I would like to clear that I have NEVER used Jeeyxn as my alt account, it was simply just in my account list. I am unsure if any other accounts were banned from the ss but I can promise you I did not have any other accounts in my account list that was used for Loka.
For "Yuromic", I talked to him around March 2025 and found out that he couldn't really actively play anymore. So I asked the stupidest thing, if I could use his account. I managed to get his account but it felt really wrong to use someone else's account so I never actually played on it.
What I was doing after the final ban
After the ban, I have decided that it has to be my last rule breaking offence. I love this server and the community, but I cannot officially return ESPECIALLY as an alt if I do not appeal. I had reflected for a very long time about everything that I had done. I played Minecraft less and focused more into socializing myself in real life, as well as focusing on my academics. I kept my best behaviors outside of Loka, and I made more amazing friends. I also made sure that I apologized to those who got involved in the Ploedey ban, and I am on good terms with all of them.
The Apology
I would first like to start off by apologizing to the Loka Staff team for wasting their valuable time to read my ticket and unblock my vpn blocks multiple times. I should have been more careful and more aware of my Exitlag status if it was on or off. And they had to catch a shameless alter after that. Especially to LancerSquid and Kxph as they had to spend time to ss both my alts.
I would then like to apologize to my friends. I had manipulated them, and dragged them into the ban. They were great friends, and did not deserve any of this silly ban that was all because of me.
As I am writing this appeal, I have about 3 months before my highschool finals, and then I would have to go to college next year. I took out some free time to write this appeal, as it has been some time since my last ban. I definitely miss the server and the community, and I would really love to make a official return in the server. I promise I will read and follow the rules, be on my best behavior. Considering the amount of rules I had broken, I don't think I would be unbanned immediately. I spent a lot of effort into writing this appeal and made sure I listed every detail I could remember throughout my entire rule breaking period. So I am really hoping that I my ban status gets reinstated to a temp-ban. But if not, then I guess I'll wait more patiently and appeal next year.
