Let's discuss the end. I've never really wanted to keep the end closed off for this long, but there've just been many other things occupying my time that the end always fell by the wayside. This thread is meant to be an open discussion of how to handle the end. I'd like to bring it back, but there are some obvious caveats. For one, obviously it will need to reset over periods of time so lots of people can have access to it. Secondly, surely one of the big questions is what to do with the Dragon Egg. On one hand I like it because it's such a unique and rare item but it does get devalued. Eventually there'll be dozens of dragon eggs in the world.

Is this a problem, though? That's the question. The things we need to decide are the following:

-New Dragon Egg every time?
-Endermen yes or no?
-How often should it reset?
-Should end blocks be mineable?

If the end must be mineable I think it should be harder then obsidian

The stronghold should be fixed up Lokan touch

I like the book at spawn idea too

PVP in the end should be on.

Maybe an enderchest left in the end somewhere.


No end portal at spawn

If you guys want it to be easier, then make a horse path. Loka needs roads anyways.

Dragon head is covered like most of the rest of the mobs are. Looks to have a .05% drop rate. So it'll be even rarer than the egg, but hey, should be fun!

It'll most likely be a complete reset everytime (preferably with a changing seed). So you'll never have the same End map twice.
 
Maybe we can make it that endstone is minable only with a silk touch pick and mines like obsidian regardless of the efficiency enchant on it. If we make endstone act like this it would still be rare as it would be a hassle to get.
