Hello everyone,
For those of you who don't know me, I am Maxy___, formerly MaxyMeeto, current owner of Salem of Garama, ex-owner of Elrohir of Ascalon. Currently, Salem is leading Rivina in strength, and previously Elrohir finished the month with the most strength two months ago.
This has brought to my attention the issue of an important feature of Conquest 3.0, the idea that the winner of Rivina is brought up to Balak. Winning Rivina should be a big deal. This is why the reward currently is a chance to fight on Balak with the rest of the continent's capitals, for a chance at an even bigger reward, world capital, which isn't the point of this thread. Throughout this month, the town of Salem has enjoyed the various buffs Rivina offers. It's helped us as a town gain some wealth, as well as some experience on the battlefield. However, as a leader who knows what happens when a smaller, less significant town makes their way up to Balak, we will not have the luxury of enjoying the same buffs on Rivina.
Now, going back to my previous point, the winner of Rivina should be a noteworthy accomplishment, and for some, fighting on Balak is quite the honor. However, for many towns such as my own, it is less of an honor and more of a punishment. Many towns on Rivina refuse to fight and gain strength because of this, which undermines the entire system. This is why we need to find a way to encourage towns to fight for that winning spot on Rivina, while also putting them on Balak to prevent repeat victors month after month.
To solve this, it could be as simple as giving the town/alliance who wins Rivina a simple buff for the month, not only to help them compete on Balak that month, but also to encourage towns to fight to be on top of the rankings at the end of the month. Something as simple as a buff which sets nether mobs as neutral, to make grinding for nether items and potion materials either, which would help these underdog towns make potions up to par as many of the continent titans have set up. Perhaps giving towns a choice of buffs, whether it's double town xp, neutral nether mobs, or even a 50% increase in industry output, I firmly believe the winner of Rivina should be rewarded with something other than a chance on Balak.
Now, am I biased, based on my previous and current positions on the server? Definitely. However, it's no question that many of the underdog towns brought onto Balak are not only at a massive disadvantage, considering that if they could compete with the other towns on Balak, they'd be fighting for capital of the continent instead. Regardless of where you are on the server, it's no question that 90% of the towns who are on Rivina competing would have very little chance to win a single battle against the capitals of Loka, nevermind win an entire month of war.
Despite my bias, I seek what is best for the server, equality among all towns.
