Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the whole account swap situation lately, and I think it's time we had a serious discussion about bumping up the orb cost. Right now, swapping for 500 orbs is basically pocket change for anyone serious about maintaining a low KD. If people care that much about keeping their stats pristine (especially with eldritch bot floating around), they should be willing to pay a meaningful price for it.
500 orbs is nothing. It's not even a speed bump. If the goal of swaps is to give dedicated players a way to clean things up while still making it a real decision, we need to make it hurt a little. I'm talking at least 1000 Orbs minimum. That way it's actually a commitment instead of just another Tuesday activity.
Think about it — the folks who are super sweaty about their KD and using every tool available (bots included) clearly have the resources. Making them drop more shards means more of that goes back into the economy and, hey, helps keep the lights on (and maybe even Cryptite's mortgage paid
). Low KD shouldn't be something you can maintain on the cheap while the rest of us grind normally.
This isn't about punishing players — it's about making the system actually mean something. Cheap swaps just encourage more abuse and make legit stats feel less earned. Raise the price, make it a real trade-off, and watch how many people suddenly decide their KD isn't that important after all.
