Introduction
Dear players and staff of Loka, today I will be appealing my ban for the second time. I begin by outlining my initial introduction to Loka Minecraft, which was a wonderful time but also a time of poor decision making. I will talk about those poor decisions that led to my ban, and about the even worse decisions I made during my ban. I will conclude with my sincere apologies to the whole community.
The Beginning
I have been playing Minecraft since 2020. At this time, I was active in FFA clans. These FFA clans also had a lot of Loka players in them, however I was not yet familiar with the server yet. This was the case until a few years passed. Some clanmates needed help in a Loka fight, which led to my first join on the server, however I had an incredibly old pc which was unable to deliver performance on the server which led to me not playing for quite some time.
Eventually, I saved up some money and decided to buy a more powerful PC. This computer easily was able to manage any Minecraft server including Loka. This led to me becoming more active on the server. I really enjoyed playing on the server, however I did not read all the rules which led to my first offense.
The Ban
I have always had a VPN installed on both of my computers. I used this tool since there was a lot of doxing going on in the Minecraft community at the time, and the VPN helped prevent this happening to me. Since I did not read the rules, I was unaware of this being illegal on Loka. Luckily, Loka staff was very lenient for the first time and let me join again after creating a ticket. However, I mistook this lenience for impunity and continued to join with VPN. This led to me opening multiple tickets, wasting a lot of the staff members time who were kind enough to take their time and unban me each time. However eventually I repeated this offense too often and I was rightfully banned.
Looking back, I should not have been so ignorant of the rules, and I should have taken more care checking whether I was using my VPN when joining the server. By repeatedly breaking the VPN rule I wasted a lot of the staff's time. I would like to apologize to all staff that had to waste their time by unbanning me repeatedly.
Ban Evading
I really enjoyed the few months I played Loka Minecraft. After my ban I was devastated that I was permanently banned on my favourite Minecraft server. Closely following my ban, I made the foolish decision of alting to bypass my ban and try to enjoy the server again. Luckily, I was quickly caught and blocked from playing the server. After being caught I realized I made a grave mistake and made the ban two times worse.
Looking back, I made a big mistake by deciding to alt. I took part in conquest battles I should not have joined. I pretended that my alt account was my main one, so town leaders invited it without knowing. This wasted staff time because they eventually had to track down my alternate account and ban me. I would like to apologize to the whole community for influencing the server when I should not have. I would also like to especially apologize to the town leaders who I deceived and convinced I was a main account and to the staff whose time I wasted by alting.
Time after my ban
After the ban of my alt account, I decided to leave all Loka related servers and take a break from Minecraft. I focused on my first year of university since the courses started to get more serious. In the Christmas break I decided to try to appeal [1]. This appeal was more an attempt to show the regret of my actions than to get unbanned. After this my focus remained on school and taking a mental break from gaming. Now that seven months have passed, I feel like I have changed enough to get another chance.
My apologies
I deeply regret the mistakes I have made. When joining the server, I should have read the rules, which would have avoided this drama entirely. When staff told me the rules and gave me second chances I should have listened more carefully and taken the situation more serious. I want to apologize again to those staff members who were so kind to unban me and explain me these rules. I also should have never made the decision to bypass my ban and illegally influence the server when I should not have. For this I want to apologize again to the whole server for wrongfully influencing the server.
To the Loka community and staff: I am deeply sorry for my actions. I understand if trust cannot be rebuilt immediately, but I hope to earn a second chance through consistent, positive behaviour.
