My Ban Appeal
Dear Lokans, today I will be writing my ban appeal, alongside giving a sincere apology to those whose time I wasted by my poor decisions. I fully understand if more time is needed before my appeal can be considered seriously, so this appeal could also be seen as a sincere apology to the Loka staff and community. Let’s first start with the story of what happened.
How did I get into Loka?
So, a few years back, I was introduced to Loka by fellow clan members of the FFA community. They needed help in a fight, and I was there to support them. Unfortunately, I had an 11-year-old pc, which resulted in very low frames per second. This made me then quit Loka for a year or so.
A year later I had assembled a better pc that could handle Loka fights with sustainable frames. This was around early 2024. So, I started playing Loka Minecraft again. I really liked the server and had much fun and that is why I started playing Loka daily.
How did I get banned?
Since I had a pc, I always had a VPN installed. At first, I was not aware of this being against the rules on the Loka server. After using it once, I got banned/blocked for the first time on Loka. I got unbanned since it was my first offense on the VPN rule. And I now was aware of this rule. However, I did not decide to remove the VPN from the pc, instead I tried to turn it off every time before joining the Loka server.
Unfortunately, I kept forgetting to turn it off. This resulted in multiple blocks, ultimately resulting in my permanent ban off the Loka server.
I sincerely apologize for the time and effort the staff had to spend because of my repeated VPN usage.
Did I commit more malicious activities?
Yes, and I regret it deeply.
Closely following my ban, I decided to alt on the Loka Minecraft server. Keep in mind that I just started playing Loka seriously and still was very much in love with the server. It was in fact my favourite Minecraft server/game on my pc. So, after my ban I was devastated. This ultimately led to me alting on the server, wasting more time of the staff and committing an even more serious offense.
I would also like to apologize to the staff’s time I wasted by alting.
Do I regret my actions?
Yes, I very much regret my actions. After getting to know that a VPN was against the rule, I should have decided to remove the VPN from my pc. By making the decision to not do that I wasted much of the staff’s time, and I also continued to break the Loka rules. So, I sincerely apologize to the staff who had to handle my VPN tickets. And I sincerely apologize to the staff for continuing to break this rule even though I was made aware of this being against the servers’ rules.
After the permanent ban I alted which I regret even more. I know I should not have done this, and it felt wrong doing it. My decision to alt was because I enjoyed playing Loka Minecraft way too much. And this was very stupid of me I deeply apologize to the entire community for my actions. By playing on the server while I was banned, I influenced fights and affected gameplay in ways I shouldn't have, because I was banned. And to the staff whose time I wasted by alting.
Am I ready to be unbanned?
I believe I am ready to be given a second chance and show that I have learned from my mistakes. After all the drama I caused on Loka, I decided to leave all Loka related discords to really focus on other things, and not wasting more time of the staff. Instead, I focussed on getting good grades in the first year of my university. Now that its Christmas break, I would love to be given another chance to play, however I acknowledge that the time of my offenses are recent. And that I might need more time to be unbanned.
If I were to be unbanned, I would delete my VPN making sure I never break this rule again. And I also will never alt again, regardless of what happens since I don’t want any more time to be wasted by me.
Conclusion + Apologies
To conclude this appeal, I would like to apologize to the whole Loka Minecraft community for my actions and I hope that I can be forgiven and be given a second chance.
