Type /register while in-game to register for a forums account.

It adds a lot pressure to duels that isn't needed, especially in ranked. It's not everyone else's business to watch you pvp. The message is also distracting, and can cause you to miss hits or pots, but that's rly only a problem in ranked. When a bunch of ppl start spectating my duels with my friends, we usually just move to a private server cuz it's weird, so it'd just be nice to be able to toggle spectators on/off. I don't see any downsides to this other than ppl just disliking change. I mean it doesn't sound hard to implement at all, but maybe I'm wrong :<

Sounds like the main issue is notification rather than people actually spectating

Yeah the ability to remove the notification would also be just as good

+1 I think it’s a good idea, have other players not able to spectate matches but have them open to staff members only.

Can see a lot of arguments for and against this, but I do agree that, at the very least in ranked matches, we could hide the message in chat.
