as we all know people like to scam guys for trying to buy their town, this has happened a bit now and i think its unfair that people get away with it.
People who work hard to grind their shards on loka and dont have all the time and recources to create and level a town and so try to but towns should be treated more fair!

i'd say make it punishable but since i dont play loka anymore i'd like to see what you guys think (including staff) since we all know its not fair and its still scamming on a mayor level.

We have discussed this topic at great length internally. The conclusion being don't sell towns without a middle man (which an admin may be willing to do). We will not be admining trades that are based on 'he said, she said', it's just not feasible. The trading of towns is not something we encourage or recommend doing. I believe we spoke on the topic in our most recent state of the server.

If you wanna rule out town scamming when doing this it does require a middleman in the form of an admin, i will say here that I’m available to do this for people but I do charge a premium of 5% of the sale price. It just comes down to don’t be silly, either do it with someone you trust or with a foolproof method

same people who are getting scammed out of towns are the ones who still trust sigmalfash at tourneys...

I mean, it's not that hard to not get scammed, either have a middle man, or gib me the town, and I'll transfer it to myself. And only me. Gimme all of your towns.

Today when I logged onto Loka Minecraft I saw something I DREAD every time I close my eyes. Someone had posted their new town for sale on the forums. The thesaurus they used to write it up was still open in their arms. I started sweating as I sat down and gazed at the photos of the 300,000 shard beast that was this town. They had already reinforced their town with obsidian walls and were in the process of finding a way to walk outside the town in the video tour, but couldn't because the wall was bigger than jibblypop's hole. I start shaking. I keep telling myself I'm going to be alright and that there's nothing to worry about. He somehow finds a friggly fracking door. Tears are running down my cheeks as I send my last texts to my family saying I love them. The Elders start the lecture on why selling towns is not recommended, and the forum post starts to gain traction. The colored reaction emojis flare to life like a nuclear flash, and a deep humming fills my ears and shakes my very soul. The entire Loka server shard containing the town goes dark. The forums begin to shake as the massive amount of replies flood in. In mere seconds my world has gone from being vibrant and full of life, to being dark, now an earth shattering void where my body is getting torn apart by the thousands of shards of down payment being offered and the impending 500 orb cost of the town name change being instated by the new owner. As my body finally surrenders, I weep, as my wealth begins to go under because I have not yet sold my town. I HATE TOWN SALES.
