I just found out about town vendors and I really like them. Unfortunately, there are a couple of things I would like to see as options.
One thing that would solve a lot of problems for us is having a daily free/limited allowance for certain items, such as ender pearls.
For example, maybe every player could take 1 stack of ender pearls per day for free, and after they have claimed their daily stack, any additional pearls would have to be purchased from the town vendor.
I don't know if something like this is possible to implement, but I think it would solve a lot of problems. Players would always have a basic amount of pearls available for wars and normal activity, while the town would still make money from players who need more than their daily stack.
It would also prevent players from taking unlimited stacks for free, which is especially important during wars when gankers can go through huge amounts of pearls. The town would still benefit financially from the extra pearls people need, without making recruits completely dependent on owners being online.
