Loka is moving to Minecraft 26.3! Most of this update is under the hood, but there's a handful of things that change how you play. Some of it comes from vanilla, some of it is us replacing our own systems with vanilla's now that Mojang caught up. Here's everything you need to know. Let's get into it!

Smooth Player Movement26.3 shipped with a client bug (MC-311974) that makes other players stutter and jitter around as they move. In PvP it's rough enough that our testers called it unplayable. Mojang hasn't fixed it yet, and Paper has nothing for it either, so we fixed what we could ourselves.
- Our server now sends player movement on a steady schedule, so you get a smooth path from tick to tick instead of a burst of tiny updates every time someone sprints, jumps or gets hit.
- The cost is about one tick of extra visual delay on other players, which is the same as it was in 26.2.
- The vanilla client still gets a bit of catch-up wobble that the server simply can't fix, and mobs stutter too. So we made our own client mod for it: AntiStutter. We highly recommend it, as it fixes the known 26.3 bug where other players and mobs stutter as they move.
- It's optional, but the game will be noticeably smoother with it.
- It's a Fabric mod for 26.3 and needs Fabric API.
- Hopefully Mojang fixes this and we won't need it in 26.4+.

Chairs → CushionsFor years you've been able to sit on stairs on Loka by right-clicking them. 26.3 adds Cushions, which are literally chairs, so we've retired our version in favor of vanilla's.
- Right-clicking stairs no longer sits you down. Place a Cushion (16 colors) on top of a block and right-click it to sit.
- In towns, sitting on a Cushion needs the town's interact permission, the same rule chairs had.
- In Battle Zones, you can't sit at all (this is unchanged).
- Capital Dock Thrones still work: only the Capital's Leader can sit, and it still earns the throne achievement. Thrones will get a Cushion, which we'll be placing on every Capital throne.
- All existing stairs/chairs that people have been using will no longer work. They will all need Cushions!

⚔ No Cushions or Straw Beds in PvP Areas
- Battle Zones: no Cushions or Straw Beds.
- Gank Isle: no Cushions or Straw Beds anywhere on the main isle or the smaller Zyre isles.

Available Now- Cushions (16 colors) and Straw Beds, covered above.
- Wool and Concrete slabs and stairs in every color. Builders, go wild.
- Baby models for more mobs, which our pets now use (below).
Baby Pet Cosmetics26.1 gave a bunch more mobs proper baby models, so our baby pet cosmetics are now online!
- Baby pets use the real vanilla baby model and sounds.
- They never grow up. Your little buddy stays little.
Pearl MomentumMojang walked back the momentum pearls in 26.3, and that applies on Loka too.
- On 1.21.11 and 26.2, you kept your momentum through a pearl teleport. Now, landing a pearl stops your momentum, so you start from a standstill.
- This is vanilla behavior, so we're leaving it as is. Be careful where you pearl!
Not on Loka Yet26.x also adds new biomes, and we haven't brought any of them to Loka yet. Everything that only comes from those biomes won't be available for now:
- The Dappled Forest and its Poplar wood set (with orange, red and yellow leaves).
- Sulfur and Cinnabar blocks, and the Sulfur Cube mob that comes with them.
- Loads of technical Minecraft changes that we will be able to make use of!
