Upcoming Changes to Territories

With the next month coming up shortly, it's time to make you guys aware of some upcoming changes to how Territories work. There's a real problem with unseating the incumbent (currently, the Argus alliance) and the way the current system works allows them to truly infinitely expand and remain far ahead. Because of this, we want to make the grounds a little more fair for upcoming towns and alliances to have a chance at becoming Capital themselves. After much discussion among the admins, we've decided to implement some limits to Territories. They are follows:

  • Towns may not have more than 50 Territory Generators
  • After constructing your 25th TGen, the cost for additional TGens beyond that goes up by 10.
    • IE Your 26th TGen costs 110, your 30th costs 150, up to your 50th Tgen costing 350 Territory Points
  • Towns can only earn 25 Territory Strength per day from TGens. Any TGens over 25 do not count for strength.
  • Alliances can only earn 100 Territory Strength per day.

At present we're not limiting how much additional territory strength you can earn through destroying other Tgens. We hope this will help balance, or at least cap power for the time being. As always, these numbers are subject to change.

These changes will go into effect April 1st. Towns with over 50 territory generators as of this change being implemented will lose their TGens over capacity. TGens over the limit will be removed based on their total distance from the town.

What will happen to towns that already have over 50 tgens? do they keep them or are the automatically destroyed. Perhaps to make it absolutely fair all tgens are destroyed April first so all town start from scratch.

Starting from farthest TGens to the closest, they'll be automatically removed until you have 50. We aren't gonna do a total reboot of TGens though.

Probably best for people to manually bring their numbers down to 50 so they get to choose which tgens they can keep.

Consider also cutting down your count so you can recycle points for Towers as they have been buffed the following way:
  • Attack Towers range increased to 35 blocks up from 25 blocks.
  • Attack Tower TnT does 2x damage than before. This can result in up to 5 hearts of damage with full Prot IV Diamond gear on.
  • Weakness Towers now debuff enemies with Weakness III up from Weakness II.
  • Buff Towers are the same, they still increase the number of Overloads a Power Source requires before it explodes.

Important note, while the tabulation of points (the limitations listed above) will go into effect April 1st. I'm giving until next Sunday, April 5th before I automatically remove TGens over the max count.

This is to give you guys more time to delete any TGens you might want to delete in order to recycle points.

For clarification, if anyone was wondering, A town can also only contribute 25 TStrength towards an Alliance's Strength.
