Reason: Assisting Ban Evasion
Story:
Hello Lokans, it has been 4 months since I've been banned from Loka for assisting ban evasion. Before I start my appeal, I want it to be clear I was pretty new to Loka, I never thought this server could be as fun as it is before I got banned. My friend PuristIsAlive, (banned for illegal mods/hacking) was watching me play Loka one day and I asked him if he could join my town. He said he was banned and I told him that kinda sucked since I really didn't have anyone else to go cove with or just teach me the ropes of Loka in general. When I started, I was literally your below average recruit not being able to refill or much less win a trade. Purist however, gave me hope in learning the game because he was actually good and he taught me things I didn't realize from just playing. About a week later he sends me an screenshot of him riding a boat without a nametag on Loka. I'm honestly not sure why he decided to ban evade just after making an appeal and a sincere one. I think the excitement of this server truly got to him and he couldn't contain it. I should've told him to stop immediately before he gets caught but i didn't understand the severity of bans on Loka. And i didn't realize that me helping him would permanently ban me off the server. When I got on, I got my town owner to invite him and geared him to go cove with me so he can show me what its like there. I was confused about map rotations and everything and he helped me understand a lot of the server. But, at night when we were about to get off I went afk and came back to a ban screen and I honestly didn't even understand how harsh Loka bans could be. I made a ticket thinking I could just say sorry and I'd get a reduction like many other servers I play. I never understood the severity of Loka punishments and how harsh they could be. If I could go back, i'd tell Purist to not ban evade and to just wait for his appeal to be read.
Ban evasion:
I did try to ban evade shortly after I got banned and it was honestly the stupidest thing i could've done. I didn't realize i was just adding insult to injury and I thought it could be a way for me to get better at pot while i was banned. Loka is the only server I know i could queue against people who actually know how to left click their mouse unlike mcpvp that has the only active pot queue. This only lasted like a day or 2 because it was way too laggy for me to even improve so i just gave up. When my friend told me how just ban evading on Loka just to play unranked could make my punishment way more severe. Then it sank in how bad it was to try and ban evade.
What I've learned:
I learned Loka has these harsh punishments for a reason. I want to say sorry to my town leader that I could've gotten him banned possibly by just getting him to invite him to the town. And I want to say sorry to my friend Purist even though he did get me banned in a way I should've known better and told him to just wait instead of ban evading. If I had known better then maybe he would've been unbanned 4 months ago and I wouldn't be banned at all. I hope since my evasions weren't too long lasted it wont effect my appeal too much.
