I think there should be more ways to grind specific materials like gunpowder, ghast tears, blaze powder etc. Right now, grinding infested isn't optimal due to the recent nerfs where you get scraps. Shrines aren't a viable way to grind either based on their rates aswell, I think if you pair ways to grind a specific mats instead of the whole lot of them.

Something like a specific infested for a potmat? or specific areas for the selected mat like how glowstone has the nether caves lmk

I don't think a specific infested is good, however, maybe you can do something with industries to give you more of a potmat rather than doing an even distribution of mats.

This suggestion would be solved with the drop boost suggestion from jakeman. Nether as a whole just needs a rework and i'm pretty sure that just is in the works so nether materials will become easier to grind whenever that comes around
