wheezily ban appeal

+1 I used to fight wheezily on other minecraft servers but when i started playing loka he put the beef aside and helped me and taught me how to start playing. After I got to know him I would say, he is one of the most helpful people I've met on the server, and definitely deserves an unban especially how his ban reason was unjust.

I’d first like to start off my appeal by telling you all the state of my life at the time of my ban. I was struggling in and out of school due to some health issues and I was using Minecraft as an escape mechanism. I was playing an excessive amount especially over the summer I was banned and avoiding other obligations. I know I haven’t been involved in the community for a long time but I feel like I really found a place in all of you when I was, so thank you so much for the great times!
Now, getting into the reason for my ban. I was AFK in my room I believe looking into a shulker box and I got a text to remind me I was going out with friends soon so I got up to get ready. My screen was off when I came back so I pressed the power button on my computer and I left to celebrate the fourth. When I got back later that night (or morning I forget) I was absolutely devastated. And once I felt like talking I ended up first talking to my mom since I didn’t understand the ban system, I thought it was irreparable at the time. We talked for a long time and we decided it would be a great opportunity for me to try other outlets and spend less time online. After my conversation with my mom I talked to one of my closer friends online who also plays the server and they said I could appeal but I should wait before making it so it would get accepted. I didn’t understand the logic and argued against it and contemplated writing one the day after I was banned. But I ultimately decided against it thinking of how I could get back to the game as fast as possible. I ended up calming down and taking a more positive view of my situation. And eventually, I stopped missing the game as much which is why I didn’t appeal until today, over a year after my ban.
I’m appealing today for two reasons. First and foremost my sister is getting into the game with her friend and even if we could work out a way for me to be un-blacklisted and have her allowed to play while I remain banned. I want her to start with a clean slate, no issues involving my ban affecting her as she is not involved. The second reason I’m appealing today is for myself. Since my ban I’ve graduated high school a year early instead of almost flunking out as I was at the end of my sophomore year. I got myself into college. And I improved my physical, mental, and social health. I sit here tonight writing this to you all, a changed man, and I truly believe I’ve grown to a point where I can use the internet again as a hobby instead of a lifestyle. Thank you all for your time reading my ban appeal and please consider voting for and supporting my pardon.

NOTES/FAQ
  • Was I cheating? - No I was not cheating, I was afk at the time I was frozen therefore I couldn't screen share.
  • Why didn’t you appeal a false ban sooner? - I was advised against it and used it as an opportunity to resolve some issues.
  • Why appeal now? - I’m at a better point in life to spend time involved in the community and I want my sister to be able to play too.
  • “But I think you did cheat.” - I understand a lot of the active players at the time thought I cheated and those are valid opinions since I never did anything to disprove the allegations. I considered lying and “admitting” to some common cheat but I decided it was best to stay honest and write this way even if it reduces my odds at an unban.

+1 I rarely comment on ban appeals, however in this case Wheezily has made an extremely well-written appeal and the story seems genuine and from the heart. That alongside the fact that it has been over a year since the ban, gives me the impression that he deserves this chance.
 
+1 fought this dude a year ago and go and lost most of time to him. I thought he was cheating but im willing to bet he was just better. Never was toxio and seems like a genuine guy.
 
At the time we had reason to believe you were hacking so staff screenshared you. Due to you not responding or accepting the screen share we had no option but to ban you. We feel enough time has passed and your appeal is well written so we are happy to lift the ban.
