Mojang is planning an update called the better together update: https://minecraft.net/en-us/article/consoles-mobile-and-win-10-play-together They plan on putting pocket, win 10, and console versions together into one game simply called "Minecraft". They're also talking about supporting servers in a special "Server Browser" as part of this update. My question is: will Loka be a part of the better together update?

Apparently the Minecraft we play is a fourth version, Java. Unless Mojang has been communicating very poorly about this then we won't have any involvement.

Correct. Java Minecraft is excluded from this entirely, so no, neither Loka nor any other Java Minecraft will be part of this. We'll all still be in our own ecosystem.
