Settler
Which role you are applying for:
PvE Developer and Builder
Why you think you should become this role:
I am a very creative person. I feel I would really enjoy working with the LokaMC team making quests, storylines, and lore. As I've been told by several friends, I'm really good at storywriting. I have some experience with creating Minecraft skins (https://www.minecraftskins.com/profile/3062741/zackeroni9). I really enjoy the quests and fun events whenever there are some, and I really wish there could be more quests to do more often. I have plenty of ideas on how quests can go bigger and better, such as partner quests you need to do with a friend, adding emmersive music to quests (I can play a few instruments and know how to write and put together music, and have before), and I even actively think of whole ideas and storylines that come up in my head as I play on Loka. I'd be willing to put in lots of effort for minor details, cause I'm just that kind of guy, and would even build new structures, islands, or machines for quests, as I have experience with redstone, building, command blocks, and even WorldEdit to a slight extent if it's needed. I always love to mess around with things and break them apart to find out how they work and to improve them, even if it means starting over after finding a fatal error. I have plenty of Minecraft knowledge and can find ways things are flawed quite easily, but also have a very logical mind that can find ways things can work after finding the flaw. I am really good at staying neutral on topics and seeing every side of an issue rather than picking a side, which I think could be useful for adding or changing something on Loka that people might think negatively about (but I am still capable of forming my own opinion if needed). I am a very likable person and feel the people on the server would appreciate me being on the PvE team as someone they can trust to make good content and decisions. I am also good at following directions down to specific details, and whether this be a good or bad quality, I often take things literally. I often ask questions to make sure I understand things right so I don't mess up and to know how to do tasks the right way.
When you started playing on the server:
Technically, I started playing on October 10th, 2017 on one of my older brothers' accounts. But on my personal account, I started playing on December 19th, 2020.
Time zone:
EDT
How often do you play (hours a day/week):
Usually, maybe around 2-3 hours on average when I choose to play for more than 5 minutes, more on weekends, less on weekdays. In a week, maybe once or twice when there's not much to do, and upwards to 5 days a week when there's quests, a lot of battles, and things to do in the Town. (Having a role like this would likely make me play more often.) But as of recently, anywhere upwards of 5-6 hours of weekdays, 10-12 hours of weekends, playing of every day of the week.
So regularly; 5 hours a week, then when there's events; 20 hours a week, and recently; 50 hours a week max.
How experienced are you with world edit:
I don't use it in single player, and have occasionally used it with building, but I am very familiar with many commands and the various ways it can be used from Minecraft videos I've watched over the years. Though I personally am more fluent in Structure Blocks and prefer using those.
What is your favorite build style:
Steampunk, or fake-reality (everything is wool, or just no natural materials)
Screenshots of your builds:
Some screenshots of interior and exterior I've made in Java Edition are attached as files, but most of my good work is on Bedrock Edition before I had Java Edition, so I sadly can't put screenshots of that stuff. (Everything built in the screenshots was 100% made by me).
Favourite NPC on Loka:
Frodii
Example of a quest you would write if you were accepted:
<I would go and write out a full quest, dialogue and details and specifics and all, but i think that would be too much, and it says "Example" anyways so...>
The player goes to Melchiott as they would any day they want bread. Melchiott would bear bad news that there is no bread today, due to pests in his bakery that affect his bread production. Melchiott would ask the player to help him. The player would accept the quest and enter his bakery where they would have to defeat 25 silverfish, endermites, and cave spiders that periodically spawn in his bakery. Melchiott would say the pests are coming from somewhere underneath the bakery, and there's probably a nest that needs to be gotten rid of. The player would enter a crawlspace under the bakery <And probably enter an instance so the space can be much bigger> and has to go through a winding tight maze. There would be a few "open" spaces here and there, silverfish, endermites, and cave spiders that spawn in periodically throughout the maze <the poison from the cave spiders can be dealt with by some milk Melchiott supplies the player with>, plenty of gaps in the walls to hit the small pests through, maybe some of it would be flooded, or can collapse from gravel on the ceiling, and the player would ultimately have to find three "nests", or Spawners and have to fight a bunch of that mob at the spawner and break it. Then the player would have to return back to Melchiott. As a reward, maybe a special soiled batch of bread or something like orbs.
<If this were a quest to be added to the game, it is a rather small quest and wouldn't fit in without more to do, so it would likely be paired with other quests—helping out other NPCs—, or a sub-quest of a bigger quest.>
