As you guys have seen purk was banned for “doxxing” and I feel with no bias that these doxxing rules make no sense. First the situation of purk happened because he posted a picture of redbugatti that was in a public discord (Noobville). He took that picture and posted in ascended with no knowing that you guys consider this doxxing. I’ve been on a ton of servers where this wouldn’t be considered doxxing as they showed their own face. Redbugatti put it in a public discord and in the “face reveal” channel. In my opinion this really isn’t doxxing. In my thoughts doxxing is revealing a persons location or face without the person giving them that information. Purk didn’t go out of his way to dox redbugatti. He simply saw his face in a “public” discord and put it in another “public” discord.
Now onto changing the rules. Like I said you should ban the people that purposely go out of their way to leak other peoples information and release it to other players on loka. But I don’t feel you posting your face to a discord with a thousand people in it and not expecting someone to bring it to another discord is doxxing. You made your face public so it should be your fault with doing that. The only way I see it being harmful is using the persons face to insult them but that was not done by purk. These doxxing rules really need change as it doesn’t make sense. I’m not making this post just to unban purk. I’m also doing it so other people don’t get punished for doing the same thing in a non harmful way.

I agree cuz like if you post ur face in a public discord why would you even care if it gets posted in another public discord like noone forced you to post it in the first place and like if youd invite everyone in ascendend to the noobvile discord and say like yo here u can see how he looks like is that considered doxing too or wha

Prolly no and like you said he did not post it to insult him or anything so the punishment is out of place if this is true and like you cant ban people for lookin at a pic you sent yourself right like what. if you care then dont send it. just my opinion tho

+1 also, in the channel that Purk got the screenshot it's filled with faces that aren't the person that sent them, there's no real way to distinguish troll from real in that channel. I'm not justifying doxxing but it's just a channel with trolls and I don't know if purk knew it was really Bugatti.

I disagree with completely changing them, rather a level of common sense should be used when they review a report. I think it’s hilariously ridiculous why someone thinks they can post a photo of themselves or their name or information in a public discord server and be mad when it spreads. I can understand why someone would be mad if it was from a private chat or dm but when you make it public in a server, you did just that, made it public.

Goes back to play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If you share your info publicly, expect it to be shared. Why should Loka be cleaning up people’s messes?

I agree but you need to be careful how the rules are worded, I’ve sent some people my face but that doesn’t mean I want everyone to see it, it needs to be in an easily accessible channel in a public discord server

Also adding on to what everyone is saying loka needs a way to verify if it is the actual person. People can send fake faces just to get them banned. Maybe they do have this already but if they don’t they should add this.
