Glorry Unban Appeal

Why would I cover tracks of someone already banned?

Some people might think they're actually covering up the extent of the rule breaking. Just a thought of a motive. Obviously I'm just playing devils advocate:).

The end of the day, the rule is you gotta report otherwise it's assisting in our eyes; and it has been reiterated many times that ignorance of the rules isn't an excuse.

covering up a perm ban lul

This is entirely relevent. It looks an awful lot like you're assisting if you're burning duped items and uncovering stashes in your own town after the player was banned, especially if no staff members were notified of any of this. It's not hard to understand from someone else's perspective everything about this seemed fishy.
Alr I understand I just don’t know why someone would cover up tracks from a person already banned

The reason someone would attempt to cover tracks of someone who is already banned would be to cover themselves from being found out of having involvement of some type, but either way you still need to report things like this.

You're right that's my fault, I was just in a rush to dispose of them because I didn't want it to seem like I was the one that duped, if I could go back in time and report it, I would.

Based on Glorry's perspective, he wasn't aware the cores were duped until UghBraces confirmed then immediately chose to dispose them so to avoid being accused of duping with the rest of the dupers.

Glorry should have reported, especially with knowing that the cores were duped. But he thought that getting rid of the duped items was the best thing for him to do at that time rather than keeping the items and get accused of duping.

I think Glorry should be given a warning or at the very least shorten the ban to a few days.

+1 Glorry should have reported but he tried to get rid of them instead of just keeping them. So reduce ban to few days maybe?

They rarely give out warnings when it comes to this. Multiple poeole been getting banned for same thing over the past 3 months without any warnings. -1 Should have reported
Okay but this happened after they were caught duping I'm pretty sure, reporting it wouldn't have done anything except make the admins know that he used to have them and has now burned them? +1 from me

+1 both this and braces bans seem unnecessarily harsh its pretty obvious that they both had good intentions and a report doesn't seem necessary when the players concerned are already banned. simply being near and around people who duped and handling said duped items (in a clearly non malicious way) shouldn't really warrant such severe treatment

I do believe the proper route should have been to report the duped items. Your intentions may be to get rid of the duped items, but logs can show your lack of involvement so it’s always best to just report it and let staff get rid of the items. I think it’s mainly a misunderstanding, so I’d probably have to stay neutral. I wish you good luck though with the appeal.

It originally appeared that you were trying to cover up something nefarious by disposing of duped items without informing staff. This was done after the player had been banned, which made it look like you were directly involved and trying to remove evidence that would incriminate you. From what you have said it appears there was no malice in your actions. However you still failed to report the issue and it was a poor decision to mix yourself up with the evidence. Due to the lack of malice we are willing to reduce your ban to a total length of 1 week after taking into account your past notes.
