Harassment on the Server

Jib your response to the "I agree" thing is plain wrong. You cant chalk up people standing up for themselves as a "mindless mob mentality", frankly I find it kinda insulting the way you responded. If people dont stand up for themselves, and especially if they dont
stand with their friends then the world would be a less open place and somewhere that I definitely wouldnt want to live in (see -North Korea or other dictatorships where opinions are silenced that you definitely wouldnt want to live under). All the I agree thing is a humorous way to show how many people find this situation was handled poorly.
wait so are you calling Stormgarden and Valyria a dictatorship

Yo this is whack.

The signs were within a private area, it was not harassment. But most of all, isn’t it clear they were a joke. The word choice, grammar and spelling surely gave that away.

I'd say that the jokes describe the intellectuality of a person.

This thread is an absolute mess, which is sad, as the situation itself is pretty serious.

Crypt and Mag want to run a friendly, open server. Content on their server which is not friendly is therefore not acceptable. That’s why they allow cursing unless it gets to be offensive. It’s also why the rules apply only to their server/Discord.

If people wanna be losers and talk poorly about someone behind their back, they can have at it on their own Discords. Allowing hateful comments of any form on Loka itself is not what this server is for.
if they allow cursing then why was i told not 2 say scum in chat?

then remove blocks
If the punishment for breaking the servers rules was only ever reversing whatever action broke the rules, people would not hesitate to continuously break them. Tempbans are handed down to hopefully prevent individuals from breaking the rules of the server anymore.

With all the I agrees aside, I think that the administration team handled the situation correctly at the moment. If town chat isn't moderated, then why should another form of town chat be? I think that we should talk as a community (state of the server pt.2) about these rules that obviously need updating before some people result in leaving the server permanently.
Cryp won't ever change this and this is why Loka has been open for years and years and struggles to have more than 20 people on outside of fights. There is no server sided stimuli that actually brings in players, old or new. The only life that gets brought into the server is by the players. There is a myriad of reasons why Loka will continue to not see success but those same reasons Cryp either is too stubborn to budge on, or he sees as values the server needs to keep hold of. I've talked to him and others about it ad nauseam, Loka has no future as it stands without some changes.

It's a nice server, just gets repetitive imo and becomes an environment where 4 players from an active town of say 20 only feel the need to play as they don't want their town to die.

Surprised this thread has gone on for as long as it has

Unfortunately, even if there was a revision of the rules and an unbanning, I think the damage is done, and it will be Loka that suffers.
