Hello Everyone, i know this might not be something i should be talking about but i haw talked with others from this community and they feel the same as i do.

As we know there is a lot of of inactive staff. As we can see on this list. ( https://forums.lokamc.com/threads/list-of-current-staff.363/ ) you cant say you see some of these people on or even talk within the community, there is a few people who got sentry just to have the rank and doesn't even help anyone or do anything.


Heres a screenshot of me and a staff member talking just a month ago when i tried to ask them to help my recruit who made a ticket, as you can see they had no clue how to do anything and proceeds to say they are only sentry for the rank. I even had to step in and help them with this (i haven’t been a sentry in a good 2 years) screenshots of this will be linked below.


If you read https://forums.lokamc.com/threads/sentry-rank.79/ you can see that a lot of the people on the list i sent earlier hardly does any of the duties assigned to them, such as; reading forums, being active in the loka discord and some doesn’t even help new players and keep the chat clean from any toxicity at all. They simply have sentry just to be sentry.

also getting promoted to staff should be more just having friends who’s staff, you need to actually be active within the community and help people, not rely on your guardian friend to help you get this (dont quote me on this as i know a lot of people only got this because of their connections)


Not trying to call anyone out on this but loka should be more strict of who they give staff to. Of course i get if you have a lot of irl stuff to do and your extremely busy, but if you play the server every day and doesn’t even talk in chat nor help people then you simply shouldn’t be a staff


Why i think I’m qualified to type this: i Was a sentry for some time and i have put a lot of work into Loka, i have even helped two current staff members type their applications because they were just lazy or didn’t feel like typing anything.


As i said this is not to call anyone out and I’m not typing this because i don’t like them, but i want whats best for the community and not have someone who doesn’t do anything be staff.

+1 if you don't play at all or do staff duties for a long time you shouldn't be staff.
unless theres some genuine reason that you just cant do anything

ofc if you come back you should have the opportunity to contribute as a staff member again, but if you aren't contributing you shouldn't b staff.

As i said i don’t want to call anyone out, but there is a lot of active staff members as well putting in a lot of good work on loka
 
But like the Legend And Myth Scotlxnd Said, a lot of the staff just have it to have it and don’t do anything. If you can’t or don’t want to spend your time doing your job as a sentry why are they still a sentry. I know its a voluntary job but demotions for inactivity have to seriously be considered in order to keep the staff team up to date. And it’s kinda funny how every person who is friends with someone with power gets promoted.

#Free Louder and Free Arval_Loka, they deserved a promotion.

Somewhat off topic but there's an irony in you complaining about staff not doing their job and then supporting other people pursuing the role who in your own words are too lazy to make an application.

When did i say that i am supporting the people that are too lazy to write an application? I wrote those applications almost a year ago and i won’t do anything similar again. But these two people were already well known and has helped a lot of people before they even got staff and has done a great job so far.
 
Please read what I said after this. Some people and I want things to change in how strict getting staff really should be, and how to keep the rank
 
Personally I think the staff team just needs a bit of an overhaul.
Reason one being that probably 25% of the staff don't do anything at all.
Reason two being that there's been some very obviously bias decisions made recently.
I think it's obvious to most that the quality has kind of dropped off a bit.
 
yeah what liniment said, idk what goes into it but some sort of bias has became apparent a lot more recently

good idea for a staff reworking thing to happen but
i feel like im gonna see a billion uncs come back JUST to hate on this post
