Loka's Quick Build Challenge

So we have 2 months before the 1.6 update and the big move. We have the arena's for pvp, but I suggest we throw a quick build challenge for the builders of Loka.


So here are the details:
1. People could sign up to be in the challenge on the forums
2. Challenger names are randomly selected to go against each other.
3. challengers have 10 mins for their build
4. challengers get creative for those 10 mins
5. Builds must remain in the build area
5. Crypt takes creative away and wipes invent so no one sneaks off with items
6. server picks a winner

Personally, I suck at building but I would love to watch this on Loka.

Are SOME of the best builder's on the server, at least that I have seen
 
I think we would have to have a theme else it is too difficult to judge, could even make it a knockout tournament.
 
We could vote on possible builds.

Both challengers would build the same themed thing such as the video.


We could even have challengers do redstone builds.
 
Joce told me to post something supportive of the build challenge, but she said that if I said that it wouldn't be supportive. So, by her request, and only because of her request I will say that maybe if it works out just right then in might be a little decent.


In all seriousness, I think it's a good idea and I'd like to participate.
 
Just as long as someone other than this topic's OP is the head of the challenge, then it sounds good.

I don't need to be the host, just thought this would be a fun alternative to the pvp arenas. It's a good way for the builders of Loka to show off their skills and have fun
 
I have a feeling in my gut that says this won't take off. Fingers crossed I'm wrong I suppose
 
I guess before this can even really be considered we need to know if Crypt is willing and able to give players during the challenge.

Secondly, who is willing to host?

Then we can start a participate list.
 
What's the progress on this?


I think magpie hosting would be awesome, but then can he be in the challenge?
Magpie, have a build arena designs?

Crypt Magpie...hace you deicided if the build arena will be on Loka or a different world?


How can I get this project rolling?
