Suggestion Looking at the server going forward

Don't you suppose that the reason the Nyx quests are more valuable than the grinding you can do permanently is the point?
Yeah I suppose they are, for every 20h a decent amount of mats roll in and thats fine. Especially for ghast tears since I dont have the time to go do shrines.

Me and jakeman5 did a test with grinding pearls and without double drops the numbers were quite bad, I know there was a bug with DD which was fixed but the baseline amount without DD was quite small..

Maybe if this is how you’re going around the grinding issue, add Ender Pearls to Nyx rewards?

Which I can only hope is less than how many you had for probably 1-3 hours a day.
I also really want to point out how much time this is. I am lucky if I can hop on the server for that much in one day. You are just pointing out how big of a time sink grinding is. Mind you the main way to have fun on this server relies solely on grinding. So if I don't spend 1-3 hours grinding per day should I not have fun?

Hey Crypt, and Sparky can you both elaborate on the flaws that are presented when we add a cap to towns in an alliance?

I think we're going in a circles a bit. I'll be happy to elaborate or re-explain our thoughts on this during both our upcoming LCR meeting and our next SOTS.

I notice there's a huge lack of doing the very lucrative Nyx quests. Is there some reason you don't take advantage of that?
Assuming that you get 30 people to do the nyx quest 1/3 of them will get 3 stacks of gp so thats around 30 stacks of gp
assuming each nyx quest takes 10min everyone doing there nyx quests still takes around 5 hours grind time Also no one wants do there nyx quest which loka staff are (for some reason) having a really hard time wraping there head around i had 15 people running there nyx quest every day but me and silent still had to grind so buff nyx quest or buff gp grinding..

Two points of order:

Those 5 hours are irrelevant. You're talking cumulative time spent. Those 10 minute sessions can happen simultaneously/at the same time as others.

Nyx quests are not and never were meant to be a subsitute to grinding, but rather a supplemental method of grinding.

When cryptite says "Very Lucrative" i take that as he means it as a subsitute of grinding also that doesn't fix the problem that much with how bad creeper spawn rates are and also how little ghast tears/blaze rods you get from it

Grinding isn't a one tweak fixes everything situation. If we implement more avenues of collecting items that won't necessarily fix the problem; things may help ease issues but buffing drops won't fix these issues.

Running Nyx quests will 100% ease a burden, they may not fix your difficulties but they will definitely make it easier to reach your goal.

Yeah I really want to reiterate something Sparky said. If you got 30 people to simultaneously do the Nyx quests, and they take 10m to do (they take on average closer to 5-10m), then in 10m you have just gotten 30 stacks of gp. Sounds pretty good to me.

I think Mario has ultimately pointed out real crux of the issue here. It doesn't matter how lucrative we make grinding in any facet; if it's perceived as boring, players aren't gonna do it and that's it.

Bruh.

The thing is, although these are massive groups of people not all of them grind and are mainly PvPers. Therefore the logic behind this is extremely flawed and that not everyone will log on to do these quest or even learn about them. It also will take at least 10 minutes to do each quest, if they don't know anything about Rivi it could take even longer because they'll need to either ask for help or struggle finding the locations and understanding how to do each task.

Assuming 10 people get the gunpowder quest, that's 30 stacks of gunpowder which will make roughly 6k pots, now assume each person uses 200 pots, 200 x 30 = 6k. It's simply not enough for all of these people warping to MULTIPLE fights a day.
