i feel like its kinda annoying to try finding muted player discord, or adding them to a party just to tell them about something

When dming a muted player Add a sign next to his name so the player whos dming him knows hes muted.

When you try to msg a muted player it's gonna tell you that he is muted and is unable to receive private messages.

What's the point of that? They won't be able to answer you so you'll have to end up searching for the discord anyways.
yeah ik that, but the messages you'll probably send to a mute player is a one way message, like imagine ur at gankisle and you need help you msg the mute player where you are for backup and also this can be used for conquest/rivina and for other stuff

They are muted for a reason, they do not deserve to be able to receive information from other players. You can simply use town/alliance/party chats, even local chat if you are not in the same alliance/party.

ok then if we can use town/alliance/party/local that simply let us message them since in ur logic we can use these commands to talk to them and adding them to a party chat is like basically private messaging them, then why not let us simply private message them? since its much faster and easier to communicate with.

Then just add them to a party, also is not faster as u don't have to type /msg, /r every time, you can just toggle to /party chat then just talk there.

I forget where the prior thread is where this was discussed but it comes down to people who were permamuted often are easily antagonized by other people.

A scenario where people are able to message muted players most likely results in players just messaging them stuff like 'ez' or other random toxic messages after a duel or a gank which unfortunately is very common.

The difference between party chat and private messaging would be that muted players have to accept a party invitation first.

Also, as others have said just get them to join the Loka discord and work from there.

you can always ignore people who are being toxic, and dming people on discord doesn't really help it i've dmed muted people before and it takes like 30mins for them to notice the dm i sent at the other hand if i could message them in loka they will notice it immediately

Yeah but the goal shouldn't be to protect the perma muted player, they are muted for a reason. This feature generally just makes life harder for those who aren't muted, which doesn't really seem right.

If you choose to break the rules and get yourself muted, you are making it harder on your friends, not the server. The server isn't responsible for your actions, and therefore isn't responsible for what you get your friends into.

That wasn’t really the perspective I was taking. Your friends being muted really has no impact on how you interact with them, you already have established other ways of communicating.
