Rules Ignored, Decisions Arbitrary: Staff Inconsistency on Map Arts

Not really trying to take sides here, but I think both sides are kinda at fault. That said, some of the issues brought up have pretty simple fixes. As someone on the lower staff team, I’d love to assist in starting a map art review team! Personally I also believe the rules used in this debate are in need of a revision.

although i believe in how these can be seen as innaproiate, i do think the handlign of this situation was definitely odd. + there is most definitely smut inside of mcdanky's library and gimlipops town.

this is sorta in a grey area of what is considered nsfw mapart on LOKA, as she may be revealing however sports illustrarted is a kid friendly sports magainze (hence the name). but jm5 should not make any more mapart more reavealing than what this is already. both sides r wrong but i gotta go with jm5 with this

also AI in ur reply is funny LOL

P.S. i dont wanna throw McDanky under the bus, that dudes awesome, and his contributions to Loka are amazing, but i feel like crypt was a bit hypocritical with and is playing a tiny bit of favoritism

these guys really need to get a grip 25+ with minecraft smut libraries and linking naked black men in chat and cryptite is in love with both of them so its ok
and i genuinely dont get how there is not any ban yet for the guy linking a naked black man in public chat it seems like im crazy no one else is even talkin about it

We ain’t throwing the man McDanky under the bus. He is preserving history.
 
Just to keep everyone in the loop, we are in the process internally of deeply debating how we wish to handle map arts in the future. Once we've reached our decision we'll be sure to update our rules thread so that it's more clear what is and isn't allowed. But it's a dicey one.

And what is being debated isn't about whether the removed map arts were fine, but rather where to appropriately draw the line for furture map arts that leads to the least moderation nightmares for us.
