It is easy to get that is not what my argument is. My argument is that it takes 4x the resources to make sand builds and that becomes incredibly time consuming. It is a unique disadvantage that only sand builds have to deal with.

Well after getting 1 million sand for 250k sandstone blocks it gets quite frustrating. I knew it would be a big task but only getting 1 block for every 4 that you dig doesn’t make sense.

Saying it takes 4x the work is a weird way to frame it when sand is instantly mined. Harvesting 4 sand is quicker than the break time of plenty of other building blocks like deepslate and logs.

You're asking for literal block transmutation 1:1. That kind of flies in the face of how Minecraft works.
