i agree with wonder that when you have your shield in your offhand you should get slowness 1 as it wouldn't really impact those who try to get charges

removing shields completely is not possible because of charges, i dont think you can get a charge off with no shield on an organized defence

maybe increase the time a shield is disabled after you whack it with axe. i really think when it comes to shields people can just learn to evolve to that type of meta and just get better at axing them but i understand why they frustrate people. i think to adjust for loka damage it would be fair to increase the time a shield is disabled after it being axed.

this is the best argument against shields and i've debunked it 1000 times but again i have splitting migraine and am hyper coviddile rn so i dont feel like writing an essay over loka. good argument overall though, i would rate it 8.3/10
thats cool and i hope you get well soon but if you can complain about people using arguements you have already debunked maybe you can atleast copy paste said arguements in order to spread your message and maybe even change some minds! telling people you have an arguement that debunks an opposing one without providing said arguement doesnt really change anybodys thoughts on the matter and might even make you look ingenuine.

I mean this is a fix but I feel like the current shield " fix " is good enough, it's not that hard to predict when your enemy is gonna pull out your shield (after 2-3 crits if it's an experience player, never or after 1st crit if the player is not.... up to date with Loka's PVP. ) There should be a nerf because as Mario said, sometimes it takes eating 3 crits to disable a shield but slowness 1 seems a little too much.

they will just run for 15 seconds instead of 10...

Don't jump into their holes
Hotkey a axe and just hit them with it - Pretty obvious when we're gonna shield.

But a longer cooldown would help both sides (20 seconds tbh) especially with the damage as it will takes them out of the fight longer then 10s

just have a delay on when you can swing your sword after holding a shield, maybe 1-2 seconds. This wouldn't change anything for objective players and just make it more fair for players who don't use a shield.

in my opinion you can always counter shields by just simply disabling them with axe or just 2v1ing them but i get why people say it's annoying to take 2 crits everytime you try to disable a shield so i feel like it doesn't have to get nerfed to the ground so nobody will ever use it again but something like slowness 1 while carrying a shield is maybe a too big nerf already, and honestly from my experience with shields everytime i disable their shield they usually just pearl away or run for their life till it's back up

im pretty sure a lot of players just macro which is kinda cheaty imo

I feel like ever since the shield community came into Loka people have been irritated and just annoyed, not being able to hit someone is un-satisfying and just broken (especially when this comes to high ping fights.) Now you can't remove the item because then the community that plays with them will leave, but I agree with wonder, slowness or something sounds nice +1

idk why yall think slowness will do anything shield will be still be op the only thing ur nerfing are the shields used for charges, they put away there shield when they run no slowness gg
Personally i think a good fix would be not allowing shields to be placed in offhand so you can still get charges just cant use it besides for blocking hits :)

I think the problem is that you guys expect to win a fight over someone who has a shield, they have the upperhand as they are carrying the utility item you don't choose to wield, they have the upperhand as they should, what most people want is it to be the opposite, that's senseless.

even when their shield gets disabled most people just run away until their shield is back up.
