Locking it before giving us some kind of explanation wouldn't be right. Unallowed made this post to hear from Crypt or Mag, not the player that benefitted from their decision if that makes sense.

Sorry Andre, some of us still haven't gotten a chance to to voice our opinions.

This is a very bizarre situation as something like this has never occurred before (as far as I'm aware.) But here's what I think should have happened. First Steak's items should have been returned. Second Steak should be punished for trolling but not by losing his items. Third Staff should make a forums post addressing the situation and further defining the rules.

The ONLY time a player should have items taken away from them is when they were received illegitimately. (Which is not what I'm saying Andre did, more that Steak shouldn't lose it for trolling.)

I assumed they'd reply before locking it, that's what usually happens. I mean technically he heard from them when they made the decision the first time, now he's just looking for things to go his way.
 
Yes yes makes me excited for the server when people get this fired up about rules being broken. Good post Unallowed!

Well these things should be cleared out as the rules don't have a solution for a situation like this one evidently.


Oh god this is turning into basically a chat room. Maybe only discuss relevant to the thread topic things now?
 
I sent those messages to Obstinance to convince him that the items weren't as important to me, hopefully making him more likely to return the shulker. I fully agree with Ox's post and disagree with Cryptite's decision and I'm sure others probably disagree with crypts decision also. I know that I shouldn't have messed around with him, but I wouldn't have done so if I knew that I'd be punished by losing the items.

Who said that even. I am covenant and I agree. Don't say things that aren't true or just say them because you don't think it's fair.

If you're curious about the stealing at spawn rule it was originally implemented after I lured a couple players to spawn with the promise of a very lucrative trade then murdered them with potions which for some reason were enabled in spawn.

Not that I endorse such behavior in our modern, more civilized society.

This looks to me like rule breaking, plain and simple. The fact that he threw out the shulker and was being an idiot makes no difference. Obstinance broke the rules. sSteak should get his items back. I don't see how you can say otherwise.
