Morning, Loka community.
I will keep this short, as we all have so much more building and PvP to do. As many of you know, I used to be a Guardian. I no longer am, as the workload was too much, and I have admiration for all the work our admin team does for our fun international Minecraft server. As the majority of us hold, Loka is a fun and accepting place for those across borders, religions, sexuality, and gender identity. We also know there is a minority on here who do not agree with that sentiment. This is why I am no longer a Sentry.
As those who know, we try to keep Loka as politics-free as we can. As we also know, that tends not to be the case outside of Loka, on other Discord chats and MC servers. One individual, who does not deserve recognition, as they are banned and no longer welcome on Loka, was doing their usual ragebaiting, and I can admit fault; I took the bait. When speaking about the actions of another country and trying to justify it and get my take, I said, "Nah, F--- [That Country], all my homies hate [That Country]". Then they got the bait, reported it, and I was demoted. Do I think that was the wrong decision on the staff's end? Absolutely not, as Loka should remain a politics-free zone, and instead of reporting their trolling, I involved myself on official Loka channels. Do I regret it? Not at all. Some irl lore: I was a human rights advocate for a year, raising funds for refugees around the world. When another member of Loka says things to other Lokans on Discord like "Your country doesn't exist", "Don't call out what I say; just harass these Loka members," and countless other bigoted phrases, I think that kind of person doesn't belong on Loka, and eventually their harassment caught up with them, as they're no longer on the server. Before anyone asks, my comment reflects the actions of said country and the lies being reiterated by this Lokan and their supporters that DO have real-world consequences. This was not racially charged, nor can it be racially charged, as the country in question is multi-racial without one defining people.
Although I avoided specifics, I am sure many of you can put together the pieces of the who, what, and where of what I am talking about. This is not to spark a dialogue here on this forum; it is to update folks asking me what happened. I want to finish this off by saying I love how diverse Loka is and how much we accomplish together, even when it is messy. I love how supportive we are of our marginalized communities and how we can make a safe space on our silly server. I realize there are people on Loka who share the same ideas and mindsets as the individual, and this post might openly make me a target of their petty campaign to silence or push back against their propaganda. To any of those people, touch grass; it's just a block game, vro. Regardless, all should be welcomed and accepted on Loka. Peace and Love ~Danky
TLDR: I have emotions and opinions when bad things happen to people and can sometimes not shut my mouth, but I don't regret anything and will continue to be a helpful community member of Loka, the DEV/Build Team, and future world cap leader
