Suggestion witch hunter totem drop

The witch hunter has been out for a while now, and while I like the idea behind it, I think the rewards need to be tweaked. Since its release, totems have become much easier to obtain and significantly cheaper on the market. Personally, I don’t think that’s a good thing. A lot of players now have multiple totems, which doesn’t feel balanced.

It doesn’t make sense that spending just 5–10 minutes landing a few crits on a boss gives you a chance at an item that essentially makes you immortal in conquest. At this point it barely matters if you get popped because most people are carrying multiple totems anyway. It makes players much harder to kill and takes away the competitiveness and overall enjoyment of conquest in my opinion.

+1, I agree with this, especially if players put totems in your echest. I don't think taking totems away from the WH is the best idea, as they are one of the main reasons players go to farm it, but i think significantly reducing the chance would be a good idea. Some maths nerd can prolly figure out the right percentage for the drop based on the previous market price and the current percentage. Obviously, this will be a heavily disagreed upon opinion, but i do believe it would make conquest better.

yes it'll be heavily disagreed on because most people that actually grind witchhunter mainly go fight it to get a totem, so removing it from the drops will make the amount of people that go to the witchhunter significantly decrease, and it'll be harder to get the worse rewards for the people that will still go fight it.
 
+1 or just remove them from conquest, we have randoms with quintuple negative kds warping with totems. Make conquest pure again.
 
The drop rate is fairly low from when it was first launched, but still if 8-10 people are going each time every few hours, there will be still some entering the market which may take time to matriculate through.

I think it would be a good idea to limit the amount of totems that can drop from the boss, maybe by allowing the top 2-3 damagers to actually be able to have a chance at dropping it. I think it would be good if like the top damagers had like a 40% chance of dropping it, that way its still fairly rare and limited to the people who are good at damaging the boss. This will balance it by making it pretty competitive to obtain so the price of selling it would be fairly high, and also making it so MushroomCow18279 won't be running around popping 5 totems per conquest like its nothing

Edit: it could also be that the percent of damage you do to the boss would equate to the percent chance to drop a totem.

I know this, thats why I specifically said keep it, but significantly reduce the chances of you getting it (though I agree with spawns idea more). Never once did I say remove it.
