thats also a lot of dev time that could be spent on something other than making sure banned players can have fun

it doesn't really need to be an anticheat, more of a method of authentication, then it just really depends on how much you want to match for an authenticated login, maybe accounts that are also suspected as alts would have to reauth?
edit: you could just put certain features behind this authentication like ranked and conquest locking, you can stop alts but stopping hackers is a completely different box of frogs, an authenticator could just be distributed as a mod.

fwiw people have gone to some pretty extreme measures just to alt on Loka, doesn't help that minecraft has such a abundance of accounts compared to other games.

If there was more screenshares I definitely think that there would be more players banned.
Obstinance made this post cause of the kalros fight we had full of cheaters, and obuth was literally there too, like there is no way he couldnt tell they were cheating.
Like sometimes Loka Staff actually does a good job on hackers but sometimes i feel like they are letting it slide cause there is no way.

they do it for free, its not their job.
(thats why 2fa would make staff have an easier time, instead of wasting their time looking for alts)
he actually nailed this, we fought against pure cheaters and alters and a town that’s never won a contested conquest fight until that night. and obuth literally fought in it like whats the point in being a guardian if you tell us to report while you’re experiencing it happen

not every guardian does ssing some just moderate and handle reports you can’t judge obuth for not doing anything and if he is untrained or poorly trained this could be an ever bigger issue the reason i respect lokas system is when they ban someone for hacking it’s 100% that they are cheating

bro for your average guardian they aren’t pvpers like mario or piggy obuth probably won’t be able to tell if they are cheating without video evidence or any sort of evidence in general all staff haven’t been trained for ssing if you think someone is cheating you /report them
