There is an argument to be made that we probably do more to attempt to combat alts than almost any other Minecraft server out there, but if you have any ideas, we are all ears.

i think this has been suggested before but idc make a gulag for whenever someones banned they join that and play loka but its on a world where gathering resources takes 100x longer and it will be fun to watch what happens down there

I may be wrong but I don’t think it’s possible for Minecraft servers to hardware ban or anything like that so really there is only a certain amount of things that can be done and I bet they are already doing them

They are gonna buy a new pc then say how loka admins are losers for caring about a minecraft account and how they don't care about loka just to alt on it any get a new account. Get caught and wait 1 month appeal. Denied and repeat

Would it be possible to get a Loka Mod (Which you would need to enable to join the server) and would that mod be able to somehow detect ghost clients, cheats etc etc? Or is that too far fetched

Loka does not have the playerbase at this time to justify its own client with an anticheat(like Badlion) If we did I expect we would lose a good amount of players and have a VERY hard time growing from that point on.

the server hasn’t exactly grown rapidly, quality>quantity. lose the players who don’t want to use a Loka client so they can’t cheat

I mean, have the client show who else is using LokaClient and highly stigmatize anyone who refuses/doesn't use it. Peer pressure/stigmatism tends to be the best option when you want people to do a certain thing.

Past client-side anticheats with way more users than we have have failed. Do any still exist? Even Lunar has discontinued their client-side anticheat and even when it was active it was circumvented by paid hacks. If we look outside of Minecraft we can see that the only effective anticheats are kernel-level anticheats like ESEA's or Riot's Vanguard. We don't have the resources or knowledge to make something like that.

maybe give banned players (not doxxers swatters etc) an option to lengthen their ban length by a bit but have a conquest fight simulation and queue they can do against other banned players. they would also be able to join towns and alliances and c train, they wouldn't have much reason to evade anymore i think it could stop some from evading
