We have ways of knowing who changes names. As for people revealing new identities; short of them using name changes for subterfuge, we'll let them do it. It's not up to us to tell everybody when somebody changes names.
 
Like I said, I don't feel it's up to us to tell people who changed their names. Some people may wish to name change to forge a new identity and make a new life on Loka. If that's what they want to do, we have no grounds on which to betray that knowledge to everyone.

If Mojang has some sort of webpage that does this, then that's on the,.
 
May change mine to Adder but my old opposed-to-change bones are telling me I shouldn't... :p

The name changes really aren't a problem in my mind. We ban peoples' accounts and can see who has changed names so can keep tabs on people just the same, so from a rule breaking perspective there simply isn't an issue. I don't expect we have any part in revealing name changes; people can do that as they please provided they aren't infringing the rules.

No. There is already somebody called Dinnerbone and names are still unique. You can’t have the same name as another player; they will have to change their name for you to be able to take it. 37 days after they change their name, the old one will become available.

Ah yes I'd forgotten. Ah well I'd still make it more manageable than "adderman500" and I sure as hell would make sure the first letter was not lower case
