Implement in Future Improvements for Grinding

When Loka is trying to encourage more world PvP I kinda worry that instancing is slowly removing a lot of competition and turning grinding into more and more of a time sink with a lot less strategy and you're not ever as worried about being snuck up on as before the instancing.
I feel there should be a balance between stuff that's instanced and stuff that everyone can fight over. Just so you can always go into the nether expecting to bring something back but at the same time, it encourages players to get in quick and grab things before an alliance just sweeps all the shrines etc.
I agree that PvP should still be a large aspect. However instancing doesn't change that at all. An example of PvP still occurring regardless of the instancing is the RI. People get ganked at the RI very often. The instancing just gives the ability to have more mats for more players. The problem is there is just simply not enough for everyone if fighting starts to occur more often on other continents.

It's worth saying that a lot of what people are describing as instancing really is just player side packet manipulation. Instancing may occur in the world for grinding but I'm fairly confident that it will almost certainly not effect ganks to a noticeable degree.

big +1 it takes like 15 minutes to fill up a shulker of pearls with double drops and it takes over 3 hours to do that without the double drops, which doesnt really seem like 2x more time does it

Sounds more like a perspective thing on your end because the math behind double drops doesn't lie and it definitely doesn't take 3 hours to fill up a shulker of pearls.

imo usually a shulker without double mob drops takes 1 hour+

however with double mob drops it does usually take 1/4 or 1/2. I'd lean closer to 1/2.

so math is more correct foxybear gaming is right.
