I'd add some pictures but the administrators of the MC wiki have decided all 1.6 pages are spam and must be deleted. Any other good places for MC pictures?

But my dear sir, i must assure you that your facts are wrong - there is in fact a recipe for horse saddles if one examines other videos and sources of information. May I hope that I helped you in your campaign to enlighten us on the upcoming features of the 1.6 update for the video game Minecraft. Toodle-oo!

I use 6-8 different sources for each snapshot, but yeah I was thinking of something else when I wrote that.

I am currently updating for the last two snapshots. It appears that Mojang is going to slowly release the major features of 1.6 compared to the past several updates where all the features were rushed in the first few weeks and the remaining weeks were all bug fixes. Nice if you like surprises I guess.

The most notable change this week is not actually a change in the current snapshot but a planned feature for 1.6. Dinnerbone has tweeted that he is adding seasons. Currently this only affects the day/night cycle but may include other things later.

Snapshot 13w19a

  • Added new stained hardened clay
  • Enabled access to the donkey & mule inventories by sneaking and interacting
  • New textures for Charcoal, Coal Block, and Lapis Lazuli
  • Made mobs spawn as groups again

Stained hardened clay is like wool, but a bit smoother. Still waiting for our stained glass.

I'll update the thread when I am home on reliable internet next week.

I'd prefer a squid tank assuming they stop drowning and suffocating themselves.

Good news for mapmakers: Items can have attribute modifiers. It's possible to make a bow that slows the holder, helm that buffs health, etc

This is exciting. Freyjia's cloak of flight could be an actual... stealable.... item...
