Second chances?


I was wondering if mabye players who were banned on Loka would be given a second chance on the new would.

And before people ask: No, this isn't just because I'm sad Def is banned. I've been thinking about this for a week or two.
People many of us miss and would love back, (andre, def, ext.) and people most of us don't remember very well (coolluke2003, ext.).

I call this "hopeless question/suggestion" becuase I know this may be a "absoultly not." kind of thing, but I want the idea to exist.

This would be a good thing for many people, I believe. We're human, we make mistakes. Mistakes should be forgivin, and at least given a second chance. Loka is already a wonderful server. But what if some people remember "That one server where I was given a second chance, where people forgave me."? I've heard many people say "Loka needs more players."

Many people already know of and love Loka. But they're banned. And We should make it clear if they do continue to brake rules, they will be re-banned.

The admins on Loka are not the Supreme Court. They do not need to uphold freedom of speech. They don't need to uphold ANY rights for that matter, as technically the Internet is not governed by a sovereign nation (except China, Iran, Syria, and the UK, but even then, they just govern over what their citizens' can access.) Def was ruining the server for everyone outside of that small group. He was a troll. He made a joke about someone's dead mother. Whether he should have been banned for what they found him guilty for is irrelevant, as they did, now he's banned, and the server is better off regardless. I'd forgive Def if he is legitimately sorry about anything he did, but I'm 90% sure he isn't, and all he'd do is be an annoying troll who ruins the server for a majority of the server if he were unbanned. Do we really want a second Mop?

Arguing that someone should remain banned because they were a troll, or for any non bannable reason, is just wrong. Banning trolls is probably not something you in particular would be happy about.

Yes but banning someone who talked trash to many people including making jokes about dead mothers isn't.

Def was banned for SEVERAL reasons and he was warned several times.

It worries me that Art is a sentry and Jedi is applying for sentry and neither seem to respect crypt when he said that he will not bring Def back.

Def was purposefully and unapologetically going out of his way to bring harm to the server as a whole. Crypt saw on console as new people would join Loka and Def would pm them and tell them to leave. Def caused his own banning


He "predicted" that one day he would be banned. He was no prophet or martyr ....Def magically knew that he was going to be banned because of the numerous warnings he had received and contined to ignore


Jedi I am frustrated that you stated we are "ignoring" you, when the truth is that your request has been answered several times and by several different people. you simply do not like the answers that you are receiving so you disregard them and continue to ask the same question over and over again.

please stop and consider the feelings of the victims of Def

This thread wasn't even supposed to be about Def in particular. It was about all the banned people, Andre, Def, many of the people who I have never met.

I am not saying I support people doing those things, but the hypocrisy of banning one person for it while lauding others for it is awful.

Joce, when have I been anything but respectful about this? I haven't even pushed it, all the threads on the subject were not started by me and I have tried to refrain from posting in them more than I felt was necessary. Jedi has good intentions but does not realize how thick the rats nest surrounding this issue is. Speaking out does not disrespect anyone, and if you're so wounded by hearing other people's voices then maybe you ought to reevaluate what worries you so and what doesn't.

I do not believe def was banned for a legitimate reason, but at the same time I think, like andre, he does not want to return and would rather remain as he is now. I have always thought of banning as something very final given the old precedent that admins use; all bans are final. So no, I don't think def should be unbanned, at least not now.

Jedi, now I speak directly to you. I know it's hard, but you need to stop this. People will take advantage of your emotions if you make them so public. There are some good people on the server who will listen to you, but they have a way of changing their outlook for the worse when you force them to speak publicly.

Okay Art. I don't want to give up, but I trust what you're saying. They say love is stronger then hate. I know it sounds bad but I guess thats not quite true. I guess not all dreams come true.


I suppose this is the last post in the chance of many.

I'm sorry Def, Andre, everyone else, I let you down.....
