Fruit Info: For today’s fruit of the day we have another species of hawthorn. This one, as you may be able to guess from it’s scientific name, is known as the Mexican hawthorn. This also clearly indicates that it is a native to Mexico. Less obvious is the fact that it is not only edible, it is consumed raw, cooked, and canned.
