Honestly I think the worst map is the underwater map theres barrier blocks everywhere that block your hits, a massive thing in the middle that people run around if they are low, and I get massive FPS drops that mess with my sensitivity on that map.I can see where you're coming from with the complaints regarding the massive spikes in the volcano map.
yeah moistp did that to me one time@Wxndernut you forgot to mention you can just run in circles forever.
+1, i just think that the snow map may be changedNobody likes them, just make a flat arena where people don't have to get stuck on blocks going up or just rocks in the middle of the map
I think 1.7 Pot practice isn't related to HCF at all at least since 2017. Watch videos from 2015~2018 and all maps had terrains. The reason why practice servers switched their maps to flat is people wanted to practice aim/potting instead of how to deal with terrains as the game got sweatier. So if we consider Potion duels and Conquest 2 different things I think flat maps make sense.honestly the existing work they did on most maps is already good enough in my opinion. (and the outright removal of the tree map which got me laughed out the room in one of the SOTS but look where we are now...) https://forums.lokamc.com/threads/just-remove-the-log-map.5523/#post-52718
Anyways back on point, this isn't 1.7 HCF where all the pot maps are flat because that's pretty much how HCF and "Road PvP" is, I think in the same way their duel maps represent their communities gamemodes ours should too, with SOME NATURAL TERRAIN HERE AND THERE. After all conquest isn't all flattened out is it.
2015-2018 (the last years of true hcf) glad you pointed this out as it sorta supports the idea, 2018 is when the new all flat rushed p2w and just the hcf you know today that is the furthest thing from vanilla was released, before that similar to actual hcf there was terrain in duels as you pointed out!I think 1.7 Pot practice isn't related to HCF at all at least since 2017. I'd think just more maps would be better. More flat maps, more obstacle maps. A perfect balance.I think the best option would be a compromise. I think it would be best if the middle of the arena was flat with little to no obstacles (maybe just same grass/flowers for detail) and then to have some terrain and other detailed structures around the arena. This would make it so there would be a good flat pvp area that isn't hindered by terrain.
I will make a map and it will be great... (sunset isles theme)I'd think just more maps would be better. More flat maps, more obstacle maps. A perfect balance.
^^ exactly that's what i meant tooI think the best option would be a compromise.
