Do u genuinely type just for the sake of it? We've had so many maparts be nuked that people put time and effort into with 0 explanation maybe try defining your rules, give examples of whats allowed and what isnt isntead of nuking people's stuff just because the definition of "sexual" or "explicit" changes day to day for the staff team.

these issues are remnants of a old system, and it needs to change. As loka has grown, it has begun to become a brand with a reputation/image to protect. following this shift, i don't think the server can continue to operate under the pretense of precedents that are flawed and inconsistent. i believe recent cases - like this collection of disputes regarding obscenity have exposed a lack of consistency in rule enforcement. This inconsistency, combined with a lack of transparency that can be viewed in cases like the BTB & daqniel disputes creates a substantiated community-wide skepticism in whether punishments are fair, proportional, or just.
Although this case is just a matter of where different staff member's personal opinions lie on a spectrum of "what is obscenity", and it could have been avoided easily by taking the most extreme interpretation, it exposes a flaw in this system built on precedents that come from an era where transparency and consistency wasn't an administrative priority. loka cannot selectively enforce precedents like confidentiality or obscenity, while simultaneously relying on precedents to dictate bans (for example, those regarding win trading).
Regardless of how effective the system is - i.e., i personally agree this is probably obscene, and the other aforementioned cases are probably justified - the ambiguity of a concrete reason or flaw to point to is a real issue for both individual actors and the community. How can members of the present community know what behaviors to avoid, when nothing is standardized? How can penalized individuals dispute their punishment without knowing their charge? How can wrong people know what or how to reform, without specifically knowing what they did wrong? (and, a little bit of a digression, but what is the point of having disputes go on a public forum if justice is just dealt with internally?)
i think we need more consistent enforcement; we need consistency with real, transparent metrics that fit the needs of the server as it exists today, not as it existed years ago; transparent details that can be thoroughly discussed to build real, strong precedents instead of idiosyncratic ones.
ps: i think this post kind of turned into a rant, but its just my crude personal opinion that i havent had time to refine or discuss with others. it probably needs clarification but idk if ill even remember what i meant when it comes to that; still, id love to hear the feedback/comments on this take

You're the ones sexualizing these women. Of all the women in the world you all chose to make map arts of an OF model with the bottom half of her breasts exposed, Sabrina Carpenter wearing lingerie, and a random gymnast turned swimsuit model. Are we to believe you guys liked these photos for their composition? Be for real. Stop acting like you're an advocate for women when you're trying to make Minecraft money off of their bodies. You're not clever and you're not fooling anyone. It's pathetic.
It's 2026, there are so many places to view that sort of content that isn't maps on a Minecraft server. Please just be normal.

Meanwhile, the server still contains:
All of which remain untouched.
- Anime map arts depicting underage characters
- Player-written books with explicit fanfiction (smut)
- Builds and quests with crude or suggestive humor
- Lores that have literal porn on them
But my map arts get silently removed?
This is not about maintaining a standard.
This is selective enforcement.
if people are seeing two people fully clothed, and only about to kiss (not even kissing yet), or literally someones FACE and cant keep it in their pants, they need, and i mean NEED to turn their computer off, and throw it into a cupboard.

You’re acting like this is some clear-cut moral issue when it really isn’t, and that’s part of the problem. You haven’t even defined what “sexualizing” means in any consistent way. One person sees a photo as normal or artistic, another calls it sexualization—it’s completely subjective. If your rules depend on individual interpretation, then people are guaranteed to “break” them without even knowing it.
That’s where it gets frustrating. People spend time and effort making things, and then suddenly it’s a problem because someone else decided it crosses a line that was never clearly drawn in the first place. If you’re going to enforce standards, they need to be specific and consistent—not based on whoever happens to be judging that day.
And bringing up people like Sabrina Carpenter doesn’t really prove your point. Public figures put out professional photoshoots, performances, and branding that vary in style and tone. Interpreting that content differently doesn’t automatically mean someone has bad intentions—it just shows that people view media differently.
If the goal is actually to respect people and avoid exploitation, then clear guidelines would do a lot more than vague accusations. Right now, it just comes off like you’re policing based on personal opinion while expecting everyone else to somehow read your mind.

You’ve completely shifted the argument away from what the actual rules and into assumptions about intent. Whether you personally believe we chose those images for one reason or another is irrelevant. The rules do not regulate our intent they regulate the content allowed on the server.
So the question still stands: What rule did the content itself violate?
Why is smut still allowed on the server then?
What do you mean "implied"? Your original post stated you "explicitly asked" and were "told it was allowed"?
no punishment to the grown man who linked a bbc in chat btw should probably go over a lot of past bans/mutes if things of that severity arent ban worthy anymore
