Hello Loka players and staff members,
My ign is "IntrepidSword". I was recently banned for attempting to use a vpn too many times. For the past few months, my wifi has been kinda spotty, giving me 10-30ms more than I am supposed to on many east servers. I play a lot of different servers to practice pvp, and I will use the Ashburn Exitlag Proxy to help stabilize and lower my ping. I constantly use exitlag as it has many benefits for me, so I forget to turn it off when switching servers sometimes. Many many many times I have switched from either a UHC server or PvP Legacy to Loka without disableing the vpn. When joining with a vpn, you get autobanned and need to open a ticket to get unbanned. After this happened quite a few times, the staff told me if it happened again that I would not be unbanned, and a few days later I did it again. This led to me getting permanently banned by the staff.
Although you get auto banned for joining with vpns, those bans usually don't stay very long (or at least it did not for me). About a week after my ban I accidently clicked on Loka when meaning to click on Stray or some other server, and it let me join. I was very confused and I thought I had been unbanned. I decided to open a ticket in the Discord and ask the staff about what happened to my previous ban. It turned out the staff forgot to manually ban me, so once I let them know about it they were able to properly give my punishment. If I had not re-opened the ticket to follow up about what happened, it is likely that my ban would have been overlooked and I would be able to play, but I made the ticket to make sure that I wasn't doing something that would give me a worse punishment.
In conclusion, I apologize for making the same mistake multiple times. Although it was not that big of a mistake, it still constantly took the staffs time that could be used more efficiently. If I am unbanned, I will try to make sure I don't keep repeated it and being a nuisance. I appreciate you for taking the time to read my appeal and wish you a great day/night.
